Disastrous Start To The Premier League Season For The Sunderland Football Shirts

Last season Sunderland finished in a dangerous 17th place after a nail-biting final few games for the main teams facing relegation. It could have been any one of the teams that are still in the Premier League  who could of fallen in to the drop zone, these teams including Aston Villa, Stoke City, Newcastle United, Norwich City, Southampton and Fulham.

The club are yet to win a game this season after a disappointing start they currently have one point from seven games.

The dismissal of much talked about manager Paolo Di Canio must have rocked the team a little bit, reports suggested that Di Canio’s regime was far too strict for the players to follow.

It will be interesting to see if they can now pick up and if a new manager can get them playing great football again.

If you support the black cats then Soccer Box offer a range of items including the Sunderland red baseball cap, get yours today and cheer the squad on.

Paolo Di Canio was named Sunderland boss in March 2013, from then on in the same 2012/13 season he helped the team win 3 games out of 13, clearly not quite good enough.

Then some fans would have wished for some good luck ready for the 2013-14, but again the Black Cats were not performing well enough in the new Sunderland football shirts and after 5 league games Di Canio was sacked after the team only won 1 point from a draw with Southampton.

After Di Canio was released by the club it was up to Coach Kevin Ball to take on the job of interim manager until a new permanent candidate was found to manage the Sunderland football shirts.

Sunderland are still without a permanent manager as all other football supporters eagerly await to hear the outcome. The former Brighton boss Gus Poyet is the bookies favourite. He has been very successful and could be the man to help Sunderland achieve big things.

The team were unlucky at the weekend; they faced a struggling Manchester United team and managed to go one up with a goal from Craig Gardener. However United’s young hero, 18 Year old Adnan Januzaj scored both goals and claimed United the victory.

The Black Cats did play good soccer in their Sunderland football shirts though, many were hoping they would have come away with the win after scoring the first goal but the young United star made sure he did not let that happen.

There is a big game coming up for Sunderland with the Tyne-wear derby approaching, the squad will look to beat closest rivals Newcastle United and grab a good three points.

It is not the end for Sunderland and no one can possibly say that they are going to be fighting relegation this early into the season. The Sunderland red baseball cap would be perfect way to show your support for Sunderland football club.

Other names said to be interested in taking over the Sunderland football shirts include Roberto Di Matteo, Stuart Pearce, Tony Pulis and Kevin Ball himself.
