Florent Johan Malouda born 13 June 1980 is a French footballer who plays for Chelsea FC and the French national team. Florent Malouda signed for Chelsea in 2007.The French winger joined Chelsea from Lyon for an undisclosed fee said to be around £13.5 million. A street footballer in his teen years, Malouda soon attracted the interest of scouts from French club Châteauroux and he soon moved to Paris to join the club. Malouda played 57 games for Châteauroux, making his senior debut at the age of 16 in the French Ligue 2. Malouda was then signed by top division side Guingamp. Malouda's performances at Guingamp began catching the attention of French giants Olympique Lyonnais. In 2007 Lyon accepted an undisclosed bid, around £13m from Chelsea for Malouda. He signed a three-year contract with the club and given the number 15 shirt.
