Nicolas Sebastien Anelka born 14 March 1979 is a French professional footballer who plays as a striker for Chelsea FC. Anelka started his career at Paris Saint-Germain as a youth player at age 16. At the age of 17, Anelka joined Arsenal for £500,000. Anelka transferred to Real Madrid in the summer of 1999 for £22.3 million. Anelka returned to Paris Saint-Germain, in a deal worth £20 million. Anelka opted to join newly promoted Manchester City for £13 million fee. In January 2005, the speculation ended when Anelka completed a £7 million Fenerbahçe. In 2006, Bolton Wanderers signed Anelka on a four-year deal for a club record of £8 million. On 11 January 2008, it was confirmed that Anelka would join Chelsea for £15 million. During his transfers over the years, he has built an aggregate transfer cost of just under £90 million. He is one of only three players to have won the Premier League with two different clubs.
