Zlatan Ibrahimović (born 3 October 1981) is a Swedish footballer, who currently plays for Barcelona and the Swedish national team. He is of Bosnian and Croatian parentage. Ibrahimović currently holds the record for the second highest transfer fee in football history, with a total of €69 million for his transfer from Internazionale to Barcelona. Ibrahimović signed his first contract with his hometown club Malmö FF in 1996, and moved up to the senior side for the 1999 season of Allsvenskan, Sweden's top-flight league. In 2001 Ibrahimović joined Ajax for €7.8 million. Where he scored 35 goals in 74 appearances. In 2004 Ibrahimović moved from Ajax to Juventus for €16 million and then moved to Inter in 2006. In 2009 He signed a 5-year contract for Barcelona. He signed for an annual salary of €14.5 million including bonuses. As of February 2009, Ibrahimović and Kaká were the highest-paid football players in the world, each with an annual salary of €9 million. On 28 August 2010, Milan announced on their official website that they had acquired the services of Ibrahimović for the 2010-11 season. He will be loaned out to Milan for the 2010-11 season, they also must purchase him outright from Barcelona for €24 million at the end of the season.
