UK Shipping Options

Royal Mail Tracked 48

Our standard UK shipping option is with Royal Mail's Tracked 48 service.  This service does provide a tracking number and has a 48-hour delivery time.  Please bear in mind however that Sunday is not counted as a working day by Royal Mail so any orders shipped on a Friday are likely to be delivered on the following Monday.  Tracked 48 orders placed on a Friday will be shipped on the following Monday.

Tracked 48 deliveries are separated into 'Signature' and 'No Signature' services depending on the value of the item/s within the package. If the item/s on your order are below £30 then the 'No Signature' service is used.  If the item/s are over £30 then the 'Signature' service is used. 

In the case of the 'No Signature' service this means that no customer signature is required for a successful delivery.  In an instance where a delivery is attempted and no-one is present to accept the package then a 'No Signature' delivery will either be posted through the letterbox if possible or a card will be pushed through the door.  This card will explain whether the Royal Mail representative has left the package with a neighbour, in a safe place or if the package has been taken back to the local delivery depot where it can be collected.

There is a 'Comments' section during the order checkout process in which you can leave a brief instruction for us to pass onto the Royal Mail representative.  This may be that you want the package to be left with a neighbour or in a safe place such as over a back gate or in a secure porch. Please note however that this is only applicable to the 'No Signature' service. 

Please also note that if Royal Mail follow these delivery instructions and leave the package with a neighbour or in a safe place and the package goes missing then we are not liable for the costs of the item/s if it is not retrieved.

In the case of the 'Signature' service a customer signature must be acquired by the Royal Mail representative for a successful delivery.  In an instance where a delivery is attempted and no-one is present to sign for the package then a card will be posted through the door.  This card will explain whether the Royal Mail representative has left the package with a neighbour who has signed for it or if the package has been taken back to the local delivery depot where it can be collected.

If you have not received your order within 5 working days then please log into your Soccer Box account and retrieve the tracking number.  Alternatively, if you are unable to log in to your account then please refer to your shipping confirmation email for the tracking number or call us on 01785 220225.  You will then be able to track the package via the Royal Mail website here:

Royal Mail Special Delivery

The Royal Mail Special Delivery service is a guaranteed next day delivery service that will arrive alongside your regular Royal Mail postal delivery and is guaranteed to be delivered before 13:00pm.  The Special Delivery service requires a customer signature for a successful delivery.  In an instance where a delivery is attempted and no-one is present to sign for the package then a card will be posted through the door.  This card will explain that the Royal Mail representative has taken the package back to the local delivery depot where it can be collected.  Please note, delivery instructions for the Royal Mail representative cannot be left for Special Delivery packages.

Please note, we can only ship Special Delivery orders the same day when they have been placed before 14:00pm.  Any Special Delivery orders placed after 14:00pm will be shipped the following day.  Special Delivery orders placed after 14:00pm on a Friday will be shipped on the following Monday.  Orders placed before 14:00pm on a Friday will be shipped the same day however these are not guaranteed for Saturday delivery.  In this instance we will write 'Saturday Delivery' on the outside of the package to alert Royal Mail that this is desirable.  We have discovered over our many years experience that 98% of Special Delivery orders shipped on a Friday are delivered on the Saturday despite not being guaranteed.  If you require any further information please don't hesitate to call us on 01785 220225 or email us at customerservice@soccerbox.com.

Next Day Courier Guaranteed (UK Mainland Only)

Our 'Next Day Courier Guaranteed' service is with DPD and is only available on the UK mainland.  Please bear in mind that some areas of the UK mainland are still unavailable for this next day service.  If you are unsure about your own area of the country then please contact us on

The areas that are not covered by DPD's next day service are: Northern Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Wight, the Scottish Islands and some areas of the Scottish highlands.

The DPD next day service is a set price no matter how many products you are ordering from us and is ideal as a cost effective way of having large orders delivered quickly.  There is a 'Comments' section during the order checkout process in which you can leave a brief instruction for us to pass onto the DPD representative.  This may be that you want the package to be left with a neighbour or in a safe place such as over a back gate or in a secure porch.  Please note that if DPD follow these delivery instructions and leave the package with a neighbour or in a safe place and the package goes missing then we are not liable for the costs of the item/s if it is not retrieved.

Once your order has been processed and packed it will be collected by DPD and scanned on collection by the DPD representative.  The next day service is delivered between 8am and 6pm the next day however DPD will email you prior to the delivery with a one hour time-window during the day to alert you when the delivery is expected. 

In the case of the DPD next day service a customer signature must be acquired by the DPD representative for a successful delivery.  In an instance where a delivery is attempted and no-one is present to sign for the package then a card will be posted through the door.  This card will explain whether the DPD representative has left the package with a neighbour who has signed for it or if the package has been taken back to the local delivery depot where it can be collected.  Alternatively, the card that is posted by DPD contains instructions to either call or email the DPD delivery team who will be able to rearrange a delivery to the same address on a different day.  Please note however, deliveries that are rescheduled to a different address will incur a charge by DPD which must be paid by the customer.

Please note, we can only ship DPD next day orders the same day when they have been placed before 14:00pm.  Any DPD next day orders placed after 14:00pm will be shipped the following day.  DPD next day orders placed after 14:00pm on a Friday will be shipped on the following Monday.  Orders placed before 14:00pm on a Friday will be shipped the same day however these will automatically be moved onto the Royal Mail Special Delivery service as described above.  DPD do not deliver on a Saturday using this service so the Royal Mail Special Delivery service provides the greatest chance of a successful Saturday delivery.
