As with most sports, even though football is a non-contact sport it is important that you thoroughly protect yourself during this sport, this varies depending on your position in the squad. Today it has been revealed that young rising star Raheem Sterling of Liverpool FC has been arrested on suspicion of common assault against his 20 year old girlfriend Shana Ann Rose. The 18 year old was arrested on Thursday night under section 39. Sterling was remanded in custody and appeared at Liverpool's Magistrates Court today where he denied all charges; his case has been adjourned until September. As this is a section 39 assault if Raheem Sterling is found guilty then he could face imprisonment which will of course effect his football career, will he ever wear a Liverpool FC shirt again?
