For the first time in four years there will be an FC Barcelona Champions League final appearance on 6th June 2015 in Berlin's Olympiastadion. Despite losing the second leg of the semi-final 3-2 to German champions Bayern Munich, Barcelona had done enough in the first leg with their 3-0 at the Nou Camp sufficient to see them through. In a match that was played in two very distinct halves Barcelona displayed a champions performance and kept Bayern Munich at bay fairly comfortably despite what the 3-2 score line suggests.
Barcelona were handed a scare initially when Bayern Munich's Benatia was left to head in a Xabi Alonso corner from close range to make it 1-0 after just seven minutes. But within a further 22 minutes the Barcelona attacking triumvirate of Messi, Suarez and Neymar had worked their magic to bring the score back to 2-1 in Barca's favour just before the half-hour mark.

Last weekend, Chelsea FC officially clinched the 2014 2015 English Premier League, beating Crystal Palace to become uncatchable in the division standings. This weekend, with a home game on the schedule against Liverpool, the Blues were undoubtedly hoping for a victory lap of sorts-a chance to revel in their newly minted status as league champions. The Liverpool football club, though, had other thoughts.
Donning the Liverpool away jersey 2014 2015 for a match in the belly of the beast (Chelsea's home stadium at Stamford Bridge), the Reds took the field on Sunday morning with the momentum very much against them. The Blues had the home field advantage-as well as the euphoria of being league champions-while the Reds have struggled to consistently win games all season long.
Somehow, Liverpool managed to neutralize most of Chelsea's offensive attacks, and even beat the EPL champs in terms of possession. The result was a surprising 1-1 draw that spoiled Chelsea's Premier League celebrations, - May 12, 2015
It's a question that no one would have asked back in January or February, but amazingly, one we are asking now: could Borussia Dortmund wrap up the 2014 2015 Bundesliga season with a top five finish? Could the future of sport, and in particular football, be radically altered by the inclusion of advanced technology such as the Borussia Dortmund football training robot? In what has since been named 'the footbonaut', Borussia Dortmund became the first team to adopt a football training robot at their Hohenbuschei training facility in Brackel. The German club, who won back-to-back Bundesliga titles between 2010 and 2012, installed the football training robot at an estimated cost of €1m at the end of their final title-winning year after their manager Jurgen Klopp visited the manufacturers of the machine in Berlin.
The 'footbonaut' football training robot was designed by Christian Guttler and is essentially a 14 square-metre cage that surrounds the player who stands on artificial turf inside a painted circle. Around the edge of the cage are eight computer-controlled machines capable of firing footballs towards the player at varying speeds and heights; from 37 to 75 miles per - May 12, 2015

Few players have the kind of career that Steven Gerrard has. The Liverpool captain got his start in the Reds' youth program all the way back in 1987, and has stayed at Anfield ever since. He started his senior career in 1998, and was never loaned or transferred. Liverpool-and, by extension, the English Premier League-is the only thing that this 34-year-old legend has ever known in the professional football world. However, following the conclusion of this season, Steven Gerrard is leaving Liverpool, he will step down from his captaincy, take a final bow in the EPL, and depart for LA Galaxy.
Needless to say, it's an emotional time for fans of the Liverpool football club. What will the Reds even look like in 2015 2016 without Steven Gerrard as their leader? He has been such an important factor at Anfield for so long that it's difficult to imagine a version of the Reds where he isn't on the lineup. Luckily, you can celebrate his legacy today by picking up a new Liverpool home jersey from - May 11, 2015
This season Frank Lampard leaves the Premier League, twenty years ago, in the fall of 1995, he donned the West Ham United shirt to start his senior football career. He had been a member of West Ham's
youth squad for one year, and had impressed managers enough that he was called up to the senior squad. He was ultimately loaned to Swansea City for the 1995 1996 season, after just two appearances at West Ham, but his legacy in the English Premier League had begun nonetheless.
Fast-forward nearly two decades, and at the end of the month Lampard will play what could be his last game ever in the EPL. Next season, the 36-year-old midfielder will trade the Manchester City home shirt 2014 2015 for a New York City FC jersey. - May 10, 2015

During the best season of his career-at Tottenham Hotspur back in 2012 2013-Gareth Bale scored 26 goals in 44 fixtures. 21 of those came from regular season Premier League play, while another five were
netted in cup and continental competition. The strong performance caught the attention of Real Madrid, and Bale was brought aboard at Santiago Bernebeu Stadium for the 2013 2014 campaign. But now the question on many people's lips 'is patience running out for Gareth Bale?'
His domestic league goal tally was lower than the previous year, at 15. However, the Welshman also scored six goals in the Champions League, helping the Vikings finally bring home a record 10th UCL trophy. In other words, even - May 09, 2015
Who will reach the finals for the 2014 2015 UEFA Europa League? Will La Liga veterans Sevilla take the honor, or will it be Italian club Fiorentina? If the first Sevilla V Fiorentina Europa League semifinal
match offers any indication, then Spain will have a presence at the upcoming UEL championship match, scheduled for May 27th. The Red and Whites bested Fiorentina's Lilies 3-0, with a strong performance from midfielder Aleix Vidal paving the way for the victory.
Not that anything is decided just yet. The Lilies will get a chance for payback on May 14th, when they don the Fiorentina home shirt 2014 2015 for the second semifinal leg. They'll have the home field advantage on their side as they try to earn a spot in their first Europa League final since 1990. However, they will
