In this Lionel Messi player profile we attempt to answer the most frequently asked questions about this infamous football player including: Is Lionel Messi the greatest player in modern football? Is he the
greatest to ever play the game, period? Both claims have been made in the past, and there are strong arguments to support each of them. Standing at five-feet, seven-inches in height and turning 28 years old at the end of June, Messi remains one of the most exciting people in the sports world, and-along with Cristiano Ronaldo-soccer's foremost star.
But what makes Lionel Messi so great? Why do fans-from youth supporters in the Argentina kids home jersey 2015 2016, to adult supporters in the Barcelona home shirt 2015 2016-worship the very ground he walks on? Is it his play style? The - June 20, 2015

The national women's football teams from Japan and Brazil won three games apiece in the Women's World Cup 2015 group stage, establishing themselves as early tournament frontrunners. The FIFA tournament will now move into the knockout stage, with the round of 16 set to begin tomorrow (20th June 2015). Other knockout stage qualifiers include England, the United States, France, Germany, and the Canadian host team.
Groups A, B, and C
The group stage for the 2015 Women's World Cup was split into six groups of four. The top two teams from each qualified to advance to the round of 16, as did the four highest ranked third-place teams.
Of all the groups in the tournament, Group A likely proved to be the weakest. Despite having the home field advantage, - June 19, 2015
Nike and Paris Saint Germain are more or less opting not to mess with a good thing, with the design of the PSG home kit 2015 - 2016. In the past three years the French club have won three Ligue 1 titles, one Coupe de France, two Coupe de la Ligue titles, and two Trophee des Champions titles. No one wants to break the soccer team's glorious streak of luck and good fortune, and with the latest design of their home shirt, no one will.
Small Design Tweaks
The new Paris Saint Germain home kit-which Nike launched in late May, as the 2014 2015 campaign was closing out-boasts the same navy blue color that has characterized PSG's home kits in recent years. The elements that have changed slightly are the color lines that run down the center of the shirt. Last year, two thin stripes of color-one white and one red-ran vertically from the neck of the shirt down. The year before, there were two broader boxes of color in the middle of - June 18, 2015
Liverpool has wasted no time diving into the summer transfer fray. In addition to the signing of Burnley striker Danny Ings, it was recently announced that 'Liverpool FC sign James Milner' from Manchester City. But is the 29-year-old midfielder a good fit for Liverpool, a club that struggled significantly during the 2014 2015 Premier League campaign? Or is he just a further misdiagnosis of the soccer team's problems?
For his part, current Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana will be pleased to see Milner don the Liverpool training kit this summer. Indeed, Lallana hailed Milner as "the perfect player," a "vital addition" to the Liverpool squad, and a "complete role model." Lallana praised James for playing different positions throughout his career and for always being in great shape.

For the 2014 2015 season, Inter Milan and Nike shirked tradition for an innovative twist on the official Internazionale home jersey. Instead of boasting the familiar blue and black striping that had defined the Inter Milan home jersey for many years, the 2014 2015 home kit was a primarily black jersey, with slight blue pinstripes giving a nod to the club's older designs. This year, after a rough run for the Inter Milan football club in 2014 2015, Nike is going back to basics with the launch of the Inter Milan home kit 2015 - 2016.
The 2015 2016 home jersey design is a return to the traditional home kit style that Internazionale soccer fans remember so fondly. The shirt features broad stripes of radiant blue and dark black, with a polo shirt collar and V-neck design that balance comfort and style in equal measure. We have stock of the new home kit available at Soccer - June 17, 2015
Currently, the Peru national football team is in the midst of the 2015 Copa America, vying for a spot in the tournament's knockout stage. Sunday's match against Colombia will determine whether or not the squad progresses to the next round. In the meantime, we figured it was an appropriate time to look back at Peru's history as a football nation.
Peru at the World Cup
Soccer fans who only pay attention to global events like the World Cup haven't seen much of the Peruvianside over the years. In fact, the White and Red have only participated in four World Cups throughout history first in the tournament's inaugural 1930 event, and not again until 1970. 1970 saw the team's peak at the global FIFA competition with a sixth place finish. Subsequent qualifications - June 17, 2015
Based on statistics alone, Vincenzo Montella was a very good manager for ACF Fiorentina, so why did Fiorentina sack Vincenzo Montella? In 2011 2012, the year before Montella took over the head coach job, Fiorentina finished in 13th place on the Serie A standings table. A year later, they had jumped to fourth place-a position they would replicate in 2014 and 2015, as well. From the outside looking in, Montella has taken a middle-of-the-road team and turned them into Europa League and Coppa Italia contenders. With another year or two at the helm, Montella might have even been able to forge the Lilies into a squad with a shot at the league title.
Unfortunately for fans in the Fiorentina football jersey, Vincenzo Montella won't get another year or two. Despite his success with the football club, Montella has been officially sacked from the manager position at ACF Fiorentina.

There was a beautiful moment during Barcelona's June 6th Champions League final against Juventus in which Andres Iniesta handed the captain's armband to Xavi Hernandez for what would be the latter player's last-ever appearance at the club. It was the 78th minute of the match and Barca were up one, looking at their second treble win in history. Xavi, the club's captain, came off the bench to replace Inietsa (the current vice captain) for the final minutes of the match. The exchange of the captain's armband was an almost ceremonial way to mark the moment as Xavi exits FC Barcelona following a long and successful career.
Next year, Hernandez will trade the Barcelona football jersey for an Al Sadd SC jersey. (Al Sadd is a Qatar-based football club.) However, even though he is moving on to the next (and likely last) stage of his playing career, the 35-year-old Spanish midfielder will always be thought of first and foremost as a key cog in the Barcelona football squad. - June 16, 2015
The Turkey national football team has a unique history in the annals of the UEFA European Championship. The team has only qualified for three Euro events over the course of the tournament's 55-year history. However, of those three appearances, the Turkish side made quite a splash in two of them, reaching the quarterfinals in 2000 and reaching a podium position (third place) in 2008. Can Turkey qualify for Euro 2016 and put on another strong performance, or will they miss out on qualification for the second Euro event in a row?
Right now, the odds seem to be leaning in the latter direction for the wearers of the Turkey football jersey. Despite a 1-0 win over Kazakhstan in a June 12th qualifier, Turkey are currently in fourth place in their Euro 2016 qualifying group. In addition to Turkey and Kazakhstan, qualification Group A also includes Iceland, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, and Latvia.
