The new Real Madrid manager Rafael Benitez has been officially presented, but what does this mean for the man himself, the club and fans? As a kid born and raised in Madrid, Spain, Rafael Benitez has always been a fan of the Real Madrid football club. He played for the organization's reserve squad from 1974 to 1980, and managed the Real Madrid youth squad from 1993 to 1995-his first professional coaching job. He's since had stints as manager at a slew of other football clubs, including Valencia, Liverpool, Inter Milan, an interim post at Chelsea, and most recently, a successful run at Napoli. Now, Benitez is coming home to claim the job he's wanted all his life: the head coaching position at Real Madrid.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez made quite the splash at the close of the 2014 2015 La Liga season, sacking manager Carlo Ancelotti after the Vikings failed to win the domestic league title. Ancelotti coached Real to a record 10th Champions League win last year, and built a team - - June 05, 2015
Eintracht Frankfurt didn't win the 2014 2015 German Bundesliga title. In fact, they weren't anywhere close, finishing the campaign in ninth place with a record of 11 wins, 12 draws, and 13 losses. Furthermore, Frankfurt's Eagles haven't won a German top-flight title since 1959, and haven't collected so much as a trophy-be it a Bundesliga title, a DFB Pokal win, or a continental cup victory-in many years. However, this season the football club does have at least one claim to fame, and that's attacking midfielder Alexander Meier who won the Bundesliga Golden Boot 2015 award.
Alexander Meier is 32 years old and has been playing at Eintracht Frankfurt since 2004 2005. He's always been a good player-albeit, a slightly inconsistent one. However, this year, Meier wasn't only the best player wearing the Eintracht Frankfurt home shirt 2014 2015, but arguably one of the best soccer players in all of Germany.

It is confirmed! Galatasaray wins Super Lig 2014 - 2015! But how did they get to the top of the podium? Up until the final weeks of competitive play, the 2014 2015 Turkish Super Lig was a real battle. Galatasaray SK, chasing their third national football title in four years, were putting the pressure on Fenerbahce, the reigning champions. Meanwhile, Besiktas remained possible spoilers for the majority of the 2014 2015 campaign, occasionally bumping Galatasaray or Fenerbahce into third place.
Ultimately, though, it was the wearers of the Galatasaray home jersey 2014 2015 who won the race. With a strong winning streak in the final month of competition-tarnished only slightly by a final-week draw with Caykur Rizespor, SK ended up reclaiming the Turkish Super Lig title. Fenerbahce settled for second, while the dark horse Besiktas football squad finished in third.
A Close RaceÂ

Instead of leaving on a high, Jurgen Klopp ends his reign at Borussia Dortmund with a disappointing loss in the DFB Pokal final. Borussia Dortmund have come a long way from their mid-season doldrums. After dropping to dead last on the 2014 2015 Bundesliga standings table, the Black and Yellows were able to get themselves back into seventh place before the end of the season. They also beat Bayern Munich in a nail-biter of a DFB Pokal semifinal, keeping pace with the German football champions through extra time before beating them in a penalty kick shootout.
It was a solid bit of redemption, but not enough to convince Jurgen Klopp-who has coached BVB for a strong seven-year run-that he still belonged at the club. Feeling that he was no longer the best choice to lead Borussia Dortmund, Klopp resigned his post as manager, with the DFB Pokal final (against Wolfsburg) set to be his final game in charge.

When full time had officially elapsed in Saturday's French Cup Final, the result declared PSG Coupe de France 2015 Champions. The result also meant that Paris Saint Germain had made French football history. Never before has the same team won the French Ligue 1 title, the Coupe de la Ligue, the Trophee des Champions, and the Coupe de France all in the same season. However, Paris Saint Germain have accomplished the feat-a fact that makes their splendid 2014 2015 soccer season one for the books.
The wearers of the PSG football shirt topped Auxerre in the May 30th Coupe de France final, winning the match 1-0 to secure the fourth and final trophy of their season. Had it not been for FC Barcelona, they may have been shooting to make their historic soccer season even more historic at next weekend's Champions League final. Instead, they'll have to settle for an unprecedented feat in French football. Not a bad consolation prize.

The 2014 2015 season certainly treated Arsenal well. While the football club ultimately couldn't worm their way into the runner-up position of this year's English Premier League, they did land in third, which is their best finish in the division since 2011 2012. They also won more games (22) than they have in a Premier League campaign since 2010, and had one of the top five goalscorers (Alexis Sanchez) in the soccer league. And finally, to top it off Arsenal win FA Cup 2015!
Now, with a victory over Aston Villa in the 2014 2015 FA Cup, Arsenal's season has gotten a whole lot sweeter. The victory marks back-to-back FA Cup titles for the Gunners, as well as a record 12th victory in the venerated soccer tournament. Last year, when Arsenal beat Hull City for the trophy, they tied Manchester United's record of 11 FA Cup trophies. This year, the Gunners have officially broken that record, and now stand by themselves at the top of the Football Association Cup history.

FC Barcelona secured the second piece of a coveted 2014 2015 football treble on Saturday, May 30th, beating Athletic Club Bilbao 3-1 to become Copa del Rey 2015 champions. With the 2014 2015 La Liga title already under their belts, and with a possible Champions League title in the offing, Barca have certainly had a golden year. And remarkably, despite the number of accomplishments that FC Barcelona have notched throughout the season, the Barcelona Copa del Rey 2015 final fixture saw what was arguably one of the football team's finest performances.
Lionel Messi's Golden Goals
The star of the Copa del Rey final, unsurprisingly, was the great Lionel Messi. Donning the Barcelona home shirt 2014 2015 for the game, the match was played on the pitch at Barca's own Camp Nou, Messi gave his team control of the fixture early on. Trapped on the sidelines at the 20th minute by a trio of Bilbao defenders, Messi somehow managed to beat them all-plus another defender in the box, and Athletic Club goalkeeper - - June 01, 2015
It would be thoroughly absurd to suggest that the Real Madrid squad 2014/15 had a bad season. With a second-place finish in the Spanish La Liga, a semifinal campaign the UEFA Champions League, a round of 16 finish in the Copa del Rey, a runner-up spot in the Spanish Supercup, a victory in the UEFA Super Cup, and a win in the FIFA World Club Cup, the Vikings have enjoyed the kind of season that virtually any other football club in the world would view as a banner year. Add the fact that the wearers of the Real Madrid soccer jersey scored more goals than any other team in Europe this year, and it's clear that this Spanish club is still firing on all cylinders.
And yet, in more ways than one, the season was still something of a disappointment for fans in the Real Madrid home jersey 2014 2015. After Real finally won a 10th Champions League title last spring, many football analysts wondered if the team might be headed back to the top of La Liga. After all, the Vikings haven't won a Spanish - - June 01, 2015
Both AS Roma and Juventus have spent the majority of the 2014 2015 season at or near the top of Italy's Serie A division. But the closeness these teams have on the standings table contrasts directly with their real-life relationship, the AS Roma versus Juventus football rivalry is as ferociously sour as any rivalry in Italian soccer. Sure, the derbies between AC Milan and Inter Milan generally attract more attention due to their "crosstown rivalry" status, while Roma's rivalry with Lazio is also one of the biggest in the world. However, when it comes to controversy, animosity, and downright dislike, few teams are enemies in the way that Juventus and Roma are.
So why do Roma's Wolves tend to despise Juve's Zebras with such vitriol? Why is a fan in the AS Roma away jersey 2014 2015 almost predisposed to not see eye to eye with a fan in the Juventus home jersey? Like most rivalries in world football, the cause of the ongoing war between these two soccer teams started many years ago, and is
