If anyone still had any doubts about Manuel Neuer's talents as a goalkeeper, they need look no further than the 2015 - 2016 German Bundesliga standings table to put those doubts to rest. Twelve weeks into the new season, Neuer has kept clean sheets in eight of Bayern's Bundesliga matches and has only allowed four goals across the remaining four matches.

That impressive "goals against" tally is singlehandedly keeping Bayern Munich in the frontrunner slot for the 2015 2016 season-even as Thomas Tuchel's impressive new Borussia Dortmund squad has kept within five points of the defending champions. No other football club is even close to catching either of these outstanding teams.

Undefeated

Bayern Munich are shooting for a fourth straight Bundesliga title this season. So far, they've certainly looked like champions. More than a third of the way into the new season, the Bavarians are still undefeated in league play. They came the closest to a loss in week 10, drawing 0-0 with Eintracht Frankfurt. Other than that one match, though, it's been nothing but a parade of wins for Bayern in the 2015 2016 Bundesliga.

If Bayern Munich do hit those impressive tallies, Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller will be the men to thank. The Bavarians' two offensive stars have scored 14 and 11 goals this season, respectively. Those numbers could earn both players' attention come Ballon d'Or time, particularly since Cristiano Ronaldo is on a slower pace this year. (The Portuguese soccer star has only scored eight goals this season at Real Madrid).

Borussia Dortmund's Impressive Turnaround

Not that Lewandowski and Muller are the only scorers catching attention in the Bundesliga this season. On the contrary, Borussia Dortmund's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has matched Lewandowski's tally of 14 goals for the 2015 2016 campaign so far. Marco Reus and Henrikh Mkhitaryan have also been impressive this season, scoring seven and five goals apiece.

Still, in spite of the significantly poorer goal difference, Borussia Dortmund aren't far behind Bayern Munich in the standings. Thomas Tuchel has completely turned BVB around this season, bringing the football club back from a seventh place finish last season and building them up into a team that, so far at least, has only lost a single match in league. That one defeat, fittingly, came at the hands of the Bavarians-though it was a substantial one, with Dortmund losing 1-5. BVB have taken 29 points from their first 12 Bundesliga matches, leaving them five points behind Bayern Munich.

Other Table Factors

Indeed, the competition for third place is fierce right now, with Wolfsburg, Hertha Berlin, Schalke 04, and Borussia Monchengladbach all separated by just two points. All four teams have snagged six wins so far this season, and none pose much of a threat to the seemingly inevitable one-two finish of Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

On the other end of the spectrum, meanwhile, Augsburg, Hoffenheim, and Stuttgart are all sitting in the red zone.
