A Rough Patch
It seems as if the wearers of the AC Milan kit have hit a bit of a rough patch in the past two seasons. In 2010 2011, the team was the Italian football champion. In 2012, they were the runners-up; in 2013, they landed in third. Then, last season, AC Milan fell to eighth place.
In retrospect, 2013 2014 wasn't just an off year following three strong seasons of football on the contrary, it was an off year following more than a decade of strong performances. For 12 years in a row-from 2002 through 2013-AC Milan finished in the Serie A top five. To add to the accomplishment, only one of those years saw the team losing 10 or more games.
Then last year, AC Milan seemed to fall apart. The football club's record of 16 wins, nine draws, and 13 losses wasn't terrible, but it certainly wasn't up to their lofty standards.
Looking back now, fans in the AC Milan home jersey 2014 2015 would definitely take a repeat of last year's record over what is currently happening. This season, with 25 of the 38 matches played, the Red and Blacks have only won eight games. They've lost almost as many (seven) and drawn the other nine, for a current 10th place position on the soccer league standings table.
Worst in Years?
To find the last time AC finished outside of the Serie A top 10, you'd have to go back to 1996 1997. Even that year was a fluke the squad had won the league title in four of the last five years, and would win again in 1999. Before that, the last poor finish had been a 1982 14th place result.
In other words, 2014 2015 is easily the worst season that the wearers of the AC Milan kit have seen in years. And for a team that has only rarely missed the Serie A top five in its history-let alone the top 10-it's arguably one of the weakest years since the football club's inception.
Empoli
Even with a weaker-than-usual record, Milan's situation didn't drop into dire straits until mid-February. Coming off a rough 1-3 defeat from Juventus the week before, the Red and Blacks donned the AC Milan home jersey 2014 2015 on February 15th for a home fixture with Empoli.
The game should have been a good opportunity for AC to grab a victory. After all, Empoli is ranked even lower in the 2014 2015 standings than Milan is, and has only won five soccer games total.

A win the following week against Cesena helped Milan players regain a bit of their confidence. But February ended on another disappointing note, with a scoreless draw at Chievo. Now, no one is quite sure what to expect from AC in March and beyond. At the very least, the squad is still in the Serie A top 10-for now.
