The 2014 2015 season was AC Milan's worst since 1997 1998, ending in a 10th place finish in the Italian Serie A. Unsurprisingly, the poor performance led to the sacking of coach Filippo Inzaghi, who just took over the reigns at San Siro a year ago. Last week it was announced that Sinisa Mihajlovic had been appointed as manager. With Sinisa Mihajlovic appointed AC Milan manager he will take over Inzaghi's position with the goal of rebuilding the club to its former levels of glory.
Will he be able to do that? It's too early to make any sort of call, but Sinisa Mihajlovic is at the very least an interesting hire for the Red and Blacks. This past season, he coached Sampdoria to a seventh place finish in the Serie A. The year before, in his first season at the club, Sampdoria had only finished in 12th place. The team's improvement under Mihajlovic's guidance was evident. Sampdoria will even participate in the 2015 2016 Europa League-a tournament the football club has not taken - - June 14, 2015
There's little doubt that AC Milan needs an influx of new defensive talent this summer, after a spotty 2014 2015 season. The football club performed admirably on the offensive side of things this year, with forward Jeremy Menez scoring 16 goals to become Serie A's fifth most prolific scorer. AC also scored more goals throughout the season than the league runners-up at Roma, netting 56 goals compared to Roma's 51. But where Roma kept a goal difference of +23 by only allowing 31 goals, AC Milan let 50 balls into the net for a low GD of +6. But this week it is confirmed that AC Milan miss out on Dani Alves, who else could they sign?
Dani Alves
Unsurprisingly, AC Milan are targeting defensive players as the summer transfer window heats up. However, the soccer club's first big target, Barcelona's Dani Alves, has turned out to be a dud. Alves recently signed a contract that will keep him at Camp Nou for another two years, spurning the interests of both Milan and Manchester United. - - May 29, 2015
On Sunday, May 24th, AC Milan lost 2-3 in an away fixture against Sassuolo, nearly tumbling out of the Serie A top 10. The match was representative of everything that has been wrong with the Red and Blacks this year, from failing to play effective defense, to losing throwaway fixtures that-a few years ago, at least-they could have won in their sleep. The question is, what happened? Why did the AC Milan football club lose their mojo? Can they find it again? And ultimately what are the AC Milan Serie A 2015 - 2016 prospects?
If you are like most Red and Blacks fans, then you are already eager to forget about the 2014 2015 season and to start thinking instead about next year's 2015 2016 campaign. The promise of redemption is (hopefully) waiting somewhere off on the horizon, and Soccer Box can help you hope for it, with a brand new AC Milan home jersey 2015 2016! We just received stock of the new Adidas jersey, which utilizes that same red and black striping pattern for which Milan are famous. - - May 14, 2015

AC Milan's Sunday, May 3rd away fixture against Napoli was a bizarre match for both football clubs. Considering Napoli's current position as the fourth-place team in the 2014 2015 Serie A, the Blues were strongly favored to beat AC's Red and Blacks on Sunday. Things became even direr for the Milan away side when defender Mattia De Sciglio earned a red card and exited the fixture within the first minute of play. But AC's back four proved to be remarkably effective throughout the first half and part of the second, blocking Napoli from taking the lead until the 70-minute mark. The game provided a taste of the Red and Blacks of old, and fans of the club can celebrate by picking up a new AC Milan tracksuit.
Unfortunately, the Red and Blacks still picked up a loss in the match. A quick scoring burst late in the game gave Napoli a 3-0 victory-helping to solidify the football club's position in the Serie A's top four. AC Milan, meanwhile, were knocked from 10th to 11th on the table, and will - - April 12, 2015If the 2014 2015 Serie A season ended today, AC Milan would finish in 8th place for the second year in a row. That's good news for a football club that has struggled to hold onto a spot in the division's top 10
during the latter half of the 2014 2015 campaign. AC Milan's lukewarm 2014 2015 season continued in unsatisfactory fashion this past weekend, with the club drawing 2-2 in a home fixture against Hellas Verona's Mastiffs. Worse, the Red and Blacks
