Football fans rejoice, Adidas launch new Argentina football shirts! Yes that's right Adidas has officially unveiled and launched the new jersey designs for the Argentine national football team, ahead of this summer's Copa America tournament in Chile. Argentina are widely considered among the frontrunners for the event, thanks to their runner-up finish in last summer's World Cup and the always-assuring presence of living football legend, Lionel Messi. The new jersey designs from Adidas look like the garb of a winning team, too, so make sure you get your hands on one of the new shirts ASAP.
At Soccer Box, we already have stock of the new 2015 2016 Argentina shirt designs. Whether you are looking for the Argentina home shirt 2015 2016, or for the equally stunning 2015 2016 away jersey, you can find it at our online shop.
These new Adidas jersey designs offer a cleaner look than kits past. The home shirt, for instance, bears the iconic white and sky blue design for which Argentine teams have been known for years. However, the shirt ditches the black trim that we saw at the 2014 World Cup, replacing it with a white V-neck collar and blue sleeves. The result is a striking twist on a classic design. The 2015 2016 navy blue away shirt also offers a nice deviation from past designs, with bands of white and sky blue at the bottom of the shirt, in a nod toward the popular home jersey.
Regardless of which jersey you perfect-be it the Argentina home shirt 2015 2016 or the Adidas away kit-you can find it at the Soccer Box online store. Just make sure you have your new soccer jersey ready for June 13th, when Lionel Messi and company take the pitch in Chile for their first Copa America match.
The 2015 Copa America
The White and Sky Blues will surge into the 2015 Copa America as part of Group B-which also includes Uruguay, Paraguay, and Jamaica. The latter two teams may or may not pose much of a threat to Argentina, but Uruguay will certainly present a challenge.
After all, Uruguay and Argentina are the two most successful teams in Copa America history-with 15 titles and 14 titles, respectively. The Uruguayan side will also be the defending champions at this year's tournament, having won the cup in 2011, when Argentina hosted.
In other words, Group B should present some exciting action right from the earliest days of 2015 Copa America play. Paraguay could even come out and surprise a few people. They certainly did in 2011, when they finished the tournament as runners-up to Uruguay. The only way this group could be more stacked is if Brazil were in it.
Luckily for fans of the White and Sky Blues, Argentina will have the home field advantage in all three of their group stage matches. They'll start on June 13th with a game against Paraguay, continue on the 16th against Uruguay, and wrap up on June 20th with Jamaica. It is expected that Messi and co. will wear the stunning new Argentina home shirt 2014 2015 in all three fixtures.
Copa History
As exciting as Group B could end up being, though, history indicates that the wearers of the Argentina national team jersey aren't likely to miss out on knockout stage qualification. Aside from the 2011 Copa America, from which the Argentine side withdrew, the White and Sky Blues have made it to the knockouts in every tournament since 1987-10 events, in all.
In 1987, Argentina hosted and finished in fourth place; in 1989, they took third place in Brazil; in 1991 and 1993, they won two consecutive Copa tournaments in a row; in 1995, 1997, 1999, and 2011, they bowed out after the quarterfinals; and in 2004 and 2007, they were runners-up.
Needless to say, that's a pretty glowing record at recent Copa America events, and it's enough to suggest that the Argentina soccer squad will be strong contenders in Chile this summer. Their recent World Cup success and their current position at number two on FIFA's world rankings only further their status as frontrunners.
