This Season vs. Last Season
Fans of the Gunners have been justifiably disappointed by their squad's performance thus far this fall. So far, seven fixtures have been played, with the eighth to come this weekend. Seven weeks into the season last year, Arsenal had ascended to first place on the Premier League standings table. They would go on to hold onto that lead for the bulk of the season, before dropping down to fourth place in the final leg of competition.
This season though, Arsenal Puma football accessories are not the souvenirs of England's top football club. The Gunners were in the number one slot after week one, but quickly fell out of favor thanks to a series of three consecutive draws. A recent loss against Chelsea-Arsenal's first of the season-dropped them into eighth place going into week eight of competition.
Part of the reason that the Gunners were able to maintain such a powerful position in the 2013 2014 Premier League standings was that they simply didn't lose for a long time. Indeed, aside from an opening loss against Aston Villa and a draw with West Bromwich Albion, Arsenal sailed through the first 10 weeks of play untouched.
This year, things are a bit different, primarily because the team has seen more draws than wins. However, with a record of 2 wins, 4 draws, and 1 loss, the Gunners could easily turn things around with a run of four or five straight victories.
Upcoming Fixtures
The question, then, is this: when you pack up your Arsenal red Puma backpack for the next four or five matches of the squad's season schedule, will you be experiencing a winning streak of that caliber? Or is such a streak a pipe dream?
Between now and the end of November, Arsenal will play Hull City, Sunderland, Burnley, Swansea City, Manchester United, and West Bromwich Albion. Of those fixtures, the only ones where they stand a serious chance of losing are the matches against Manchester United and Swansea City. Both clubs are currently ranked in the 2014 2015 Premier League's top five. However, Arsenal forced a draw with Manchester City (the current second place team), meaning that the squad should at least be able to get a similar, non-losing result against Manchester United and Swansea City.
Matches against the four other teams are more likely to end in victory for the Gunners. During the last league season, Arsenal won both of its matches against Sunderland and Hull City. West Bromwich and Burnley, meanwhile, are ranked relatively low on the current division table. Just make sure you're ready with your Arsenal red Puma backpack 2014 2015 to cheer forth the team at each of these matches!
