So far the 2013 - 2014 season has had a great start for the Arsenal squad. They currently sit at the top of the Premier League table having won 11 of their 16 games.

Whether playing at home or in the Arsenal away soccer jersey the team has put on some good performances.

However, some critics maintain that Arsenal frequently begin well but cannot maintain the pace to finish as champions.

In the past Arsene Wenger the Arsenal manager has been criticised for not investing in top name players.

However during this summer he spent £45m on German attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil who alongside other great players including Jack Wilshere, Theo Walcott and upcoming star Aaron Ramsey is setting the Arsenal team alight.

In their Arsenal training gear Wenger is pushing his team into a strong cohesive force.

Last week the team were preparing for a tough match against Manchester City, top rival contenders for the Premier League title.

Arsene Wenger and the team in the Arsenal training gear would have been practicing their skills and set pieces in their determination to quash to critics and beat these formidable opponents.

Prior to the match Arsenal were 5 points clear at the top on 35 points, Man City were on 29 points.

On Saturday Arsenal travelled to the Etihad Stadium in Manchester, they wore the home kit as opposed to Arsenal away soccer jersey.

This season at home Man City have been unstoppable with some great results including a 6-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur, 7-0 against Norwich and a 4-1 win over defending champions and local rivals Manchester United.

With these results in mind this game was always going to be a challenge.

After warming up in their Arsenal training gear Wenger's men kicked off what was to be an action packed game.

Man City's Aguero opened the scoring on 14 minutes. Walcott equalised on 31 minutes. After this the soccer ball hit the back of the net time and time again with both teams showing great skill but it was Manchester City that took the 3 points as the score line ended a tremendous 6-3 to the home team.

Manchester City were the dominating force throughout the game and certainly showed why they were strong contenders to finish the 2013 - 2014 season as Premier League champions.

At times Arsenal played some stunning soccer, showing the training in their Arsenal gear had paid off, outrunning the home team to score 3 goals.

Following the game City boss Pelligrini stated it wasn't his team's best performance conceding 3 goals however, he was pleased with the 3 points.

Following the game Wenger played down the loss. The team looked tired following a Wednesday night Champions League clash in Napoli.

City had played Bayern Munich on Tuesday but the team consisted of 8 changes meaning much fresher legs.

Wenger remains confident and will not dwell on this loss. Instead he will spend the next week with the team in their Arsenal training gear preparing for their next big clash against London rivals Chelsea.
