This spring was a magnificent time to be a fan of Atletico Madrid. After winning the La Liga soccer title in 1996 1997, the club's quality of play had fallen off. They dipped first to fifth place, then to seventh place, then out of the top 10 entirely. And just four years after winning the premier division of Spanish football, the Mattressers were relegated to the Segunda Division. After a long journey, the club returned to the top of the La Liga podium last year, and it was a truly proud time for youth and adult fans alike to wear an Atletico Madrid shirt or home jersey.

Now, with their odyssey back to the top of Spanish soccer finally completed, the players, fans, managers, and officials of Atletico Madrid have another battle to fight: defending the title. Help them out today by stopping by Soccer Box and checking out all of the Madrid football gear we have in stock. From adult shirt and jersey options to infant home soccer jerseys, all the way to the Atletico Madrid football shirt, we have Mattressers gear for every member of your family-regardless of age or size!

The Challengers

Several months into the 2014 2015 season of La Liga, it's clear that Atletico Madrid has several worthy opponents in the battle for the prestigious football title. They will clearly need the support of youth and adult fans wearing the 2014 2015 home shirt!

So far, the Mattressers have stayed in the top five on the standings table. Barcelona, Valencia, Sevilla, and Real Madrid are all valid challengers for the league title.

Still, the pride in wearing the home and away versions of the Atletico Madrid shirt remains. Of the four core challengers, the Mattressers have won games against Real Madrid and Sevilla. The club beat the latter in a particularly crowd-pleasing 4-0 performance. Of the other two challengers, Atletico has lost to Valencia (in a 3-1 away shirt fixture), but hasn't played Barcelona yet.

Upcoming Matches

Given the competitive nature of the soccer season, it's the perfect time to get the entire family involved, which is why Soccer Box is ready with the Atletico Madrid youth home jersey 2014 2015 and all other team gear. We fully expect things to get very exciting in La Liga this year, and we don't want you to miss it!

Things will be interesting over the next few weeks and months, as Atletico faces lower ranked football clubs like Cordoba, Real Sociedad, Malaga, and Deportivo La Coruna. If Atletico Madrid can win all or most of those matches, then the club's position on the La Liga standings table could be entirely different come December.

FC Barcelona

Unfortunately, Atletico won't have a chance to take on the last of the five division contenders, FC Barcelona, until January. The last time these two football teams faced one another-in their last official match of the 2013 2014 La Liga season-the outcome was a 1-1 draw. As a result, both soccer clubs will be looking for bragging rights when they meet in January. Expect that match to be a particularly explosive one.

The Barcelona match-which is currently scheduled to be played on January 10, 2015 at Barca's Camp Nou stadium-could actually end up being one of the defining fixtures of the football season for both teams. Barcelona's central scoring team of Lionel Messi and Neymar-plus Luis Suarez, who is set to return in the next few weeks, after an international football ban-will be something that Atletico Madrid's players will have to work hard to dismantle.

As you can see, Atletico will need a bit of fan support, both from youth and adult fans alike, to get through the Barcelona match. Whether you provide that support with loud screams at Camp Nou or with an Atletico Madrid youth home jersey 2014 2015, it doesn't matter: just cheer for your team!
