The Borussia Dortmund football club got their first Bundesliga win in two months this past Saturday, beating Freiburg 3-0 in an away game. The victory moves the Black and Yellows at least temporarily
out of last place on the 2014 2015 Bundesliga standings table. And while Freiburg isn't a highly ranked team, fans are hoping that the triumph will get BVB onto a better road after what has been a rough season. Support the football team today, by picking up a brand new Borussia Dortmund shirt!

The Year So Far
To date, 2015 has not been particularly kind to fans in the Borussia Dortmund shirt. Despite a streak of friendly wins in mid-January, the Black and Yellows returned to Bundesliga play at the end of the month with middling results. The first game back, an away fixture at Bayer Leverkusen, ended in a scoreless draw.
Things didn't get any better for BVB when footballers got the chance to don the Borussia Dortmund home jersey 2014 2015 and play in front of a home crowd at Signal Iduna Park. On the contrary they got worse, with the home side losing 0-1 to a visiting Augsburg squad.
The home loss left Borussia Dortmund in last place on the 2014 2015 league standings table-a long way from the team's runner-up finish just last season. They were even behind SC Freiburg, a football team that has only won three matches all season.
Freiburg
Luckily for the Black and Yellows, their next opponent was SC Freiburg. The club's tally of three wins for the 2014 2015 Bundesliga was only markedly worse than Dortmund's four, but it still made for an opportunity for Borussia to finally grab a win.
And win they did. In an away fixture played on Saturday, February 7th, the wearers of the Borussia Dortmund shirt triumphed 3-0 over the SC squad. They were in command from the get-go, too: forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang handed vice-captain Marco Reus an assist, and Reus turned it into a 1-0 lead.
Aubameyang was easily the MVP of the match. In addition to providing an assist for the game-opening goal, he also scored a brace of his own to give Borussia Dortmund a 3-0 victory. His two points came during the second half and functioned as the final nail in the coffin for Freiburg's chances.
Back from the Dead?
The win was Dortmund's first victorious outing at a Bundesliga fixture since December 6th, when the team beat Hoffenheim in a home fixture. That Hoffenheim game was also Borussia's last competitive win, as the club's only positive outcomes since they were in three friendly fixtures played during January.
Needless to say, the victory is big news for BVB-even if it came against one of the lesser football squads in the league. A shutout victory, especially one with that star-making performance by Aubameyang, was precisely what Borussia Dortmund needed right now to jolt itself back to life.
Leading to the real question: are the Black and Yellows back from the dead, or was this win a fluke? Will they be able to continue winning fixtures in the coming weeks, or will they fall back into the pattern of disappointing losses and draws that they've had going for months?
We'll get at least a partial answer today, when BVB players put on the Borussia Dortmund home jersey 2014 2015 to take on Mainz 05 at home. Mainz isn't a top-ranked team, like Bayern Munich or Wolfsburg, but they are slightly ahead of Dortmund on the 2014 2015 standings table, so the game should be an interesting test.
