It's a question that no one would have asked back in January or February, but amazingly, one we are asking now: could Borussia Dortmund wrap up the 2014 2015 Bundesliga season with a top five finish? Following a 2-0 home victory against Hertha Berlin on Saturday, the Black and Yellows have leaped into seventh place on the league standings table. They are just two points behind Schalke 04, and just three points off from FC Augsburg. Is the German top-flight division due for a few shake-ups in the final two weeks of competition? Pick up a Borussia Dortmund jersey from Soccer Box to cheer the team toward a high-ranking finish (not to mention a potential Europa League qualification!).

Hertha Berlin
The wearers of the Borussia Dortmund home shirt 2014 2015 looked like their old selves on Saturday, when they took on Hertha BSC at Signal-Iduna Park. Needing to score a big win in order to move up the table, and with the home field advantage on their side, the Black and Yellows rose to the occasion to win the game 2-0.
BVB were in the driver's seat from the word go, with defender Neven Subotic landing his second goal of the season at the nine-minute mark, to give his team a 1-0 lead. Hertha actually led the game in terms of possession time, but the Black and Yellows undoubtedly made more use of their possessions.
Indeed, just after halftime, another Borussia defender (the 22-year-old Erik Durm) scored his first-ever goal for Dortmund's senior squad. Durm's goal put BVB up 2-0-a lead that they held until the end of the football match.
The League Standings Table
The victory pushed the Black and Yellows to 43 points on the 2014 2015 Bundesliga standings table, and brings their goal difference rating to +5. The boost was enough to let Borussia Dortmund leapfrog Werder Bremen (also at 43 points), and to bring them into striking distance of numerous higher-ranked teams.
Fans in the Borussia Dortmund home shirt 2014 2015 have now been treated to three big home victories in the past month. On April 18th, the Black and Yellows bested Paderborn 3-0; and on April 25th, BVB managed yet another shutout at home, in a 2-0 fixture with Eintracht Frankfurt. Clearly, the Puma home shirt is the soccer club's good luck charm.
With that said, Borussia Dortmund will have to find some luck in the 2014 2015 away jersey next week, if they are going to continue their climb up the league standings table. On Saturday, they'll take the pitch at Wolfsburg's Volkswagon Arena, for their last away game of the season. Wolfsburg will be the runners-up for this year's Bundesliga, so the match will surely be the last big test of the 2014 2015 season for BVB.
The good news for football fans in the BVB jersey is that the Black and Yellows currently have momentum on their side. In addition to their recent streak of home victories, Dortmund recently bested Bayern Munich in DFB Pokal away game. And if Borussia can win an away fixture against Bayern Munich, then they can also win against Wolfsburg.
A win this Saturday would give BVB the big boost they need to finish the year in the top five. Schalke 04 and Augsburg are each just a few points away in the standings, and since both have been struggling somewhat as of late (aside from Augsburg's win against Bayern this past weekend), they might be vulnerable. Borussia also has the edge on both teams in terms of goal difference, so even a tie in point totals would lean in favor of BVB.
Pick up a Borussia Dortmund shirt at Soccer Box today, and get ready for the football club's final games of the year: this weekend's clash with Wolfsburg, and a May 23rd home match against Hamburger SV.
