  1. Borussia Dortmund Recovery Under Thomas Tuchel: A Winning Streak for 2015/16

Rewind the clock back 10 months to the final Bundesliga games of 2014, and things were looking pretty dire for Borussia Dortmund. The football club had dipped to second-to-last place in the German top-flight and had only won three league fixtures in the past three months. It wasn't entirely clear what the problem was, but BVB, under the normally dependable management of Jurgen Klopp, had lost their groove. But the Borussia Dortmund recovery under Thomas Tuchel has been dramatic, with this season's performances offering a massive departure from those of 2014.

    Making a Comeback

Now, with former FSV Mainz manager Thomas Tuchel in the driver's seat, it looks like Borussia Dortmund has found a new groove. Even considering a 1-5 loss against Bayern Munich on October 4th, the Black and Yellows have been one of the big success stories of the German football season so far. They won their first five Bundesliga fixtures,

  2. Bayern Munich Annihilate Borussia Dortmund in Key Bundesliga Match

What's going on at Borussia Dortmund? When the 2015 2016 Bundesliga campaign got underway, it looked as if the Black and Yellows might have had what it took to take on Bayern Munich this year. Sure, the Bavarians might be shooting for their fourth straight top-flight title this season-something that no German team has ever done before. However, Dortmund kicked off their season in such strong fashion that some Munich fans had to be worrying about their football club's frontrunner status. After all, in the first month or so of Bundesliga competition, BVB weren't just winning all of their games, but they were also scoring more decisive victories than Bayern Munich. But this past weekend, the outlook changed in dramatic fashion as Bayern Munich annihilate Borussia Dortmund in what could be a key fixture of the 2015 - 2016 Bundesliga campaign.

  3. FC Bayern and BVB Battle for Control After Month One of 2015 - 2016 Bundesliga Play

The opening month of the 2015 2016 association football season has brought a long list of talking points for soccer fans throughout Europe. Perhaps the "biggest" stories so far have been the complete and utter collapses of clubs like Chelsea FC and Juventus-clubs that were, as recently as last spring, complete powerhouses. The best rivalry of the new season, though, has undoubtedly been playing out in month one of 2015 - 2016 Bundesliga play, between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.

    The Rise of Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund experienced their own collapse last season, not unlike what Chelsea and Juventus are going through right now. After finishing second in the 2013 2014 Bundesliga, the Black and Yellows hit a wall in the autumn of 2014. They lost two of their first four matches and had tumbled to 10th place at the end of month one.

That was just the tip of the iceberg for BVB's disastrous season.

  4. Januzaj Heads to Borussia Dortmund on Season-Long Loan.

Borussia Dortmund didn't have the most eventful deadline day on Monday, September 1st, as the summer transfer window skittered to a close. A deal to transfer winger Kevin Grosskreutz to Galatasaray was reportedly blocked by FIFA, while talks with Manchester United about a possible transfer out for Marco Reus were also apparently on the table. In the end, though, both Reus and Grosskreutz will be sticking around at BVB until January or beyond, while Adnan Januzaj heads to Borussia Dortmund, from Manchester United, the forward will don the Borussia Dortmund home shirt 2015 2016 on a season-long basis.

A Loan with No Permanent Potential?

The word on Dortmund's deadline day loan deal for Adnan Januzaj is that he will be playing for the German soccer club until May, but will inevitably return to Old Trafford once the 2015 2016 season closes out. In other words, there is no section included in his loan contract that

  5. The 2015 - 2016 Europa League Group Stage Draw: Which Teams Are Set up Well for Knockout Stage Advancement?

It's always tricky to predict how the UEFA Europa League will play out, largely due to the fact that even after the group stage has been played, the tournament frontrunners could still be coming from elsewhere. Indeed, the tradition of incorporating the third-placed teams from each of the Champions League groups lends an air of unpredictability to the action in the annual Europa League tournament that you don't necessarily get in the UCL. Quite simply, with the Europa League, you never know who might emerge as a major contender. However, following the 2015 - 2016 Europa League group stage draw we take a look at the likely winners and losers.

In the UEL, it's particularly pivotal for football clubs to win their groups, instead of to advance to the knockout stages by finishing second. Second-placed teams are left unseeded for the knockouts, which can result in very difficult draws against either top UEL group stage finishers, or tough-to-beat UCL teams.

  6. Bayern and Borussia Back on Top after Opening Week of 2015 Season

In 2013 2014, the German Bundesliga season ended with Bayern Munich as the champions, Borussia Dortmund as the runners-up, and Schalke 04 in third place. Bayer Leverkusen and VfL Wolfsburg rounded out the top five. Now, in the wake of the opening week of 2015 - 2016 Bundesliga play, it's as if we've found a time warp back to the 2013 2014 season, for how similar today's standings look like the final rankings from that season.

Indeed, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and Schalke 04 are the opening week's top three performing football clubs. Bayer Leverkusen, meanwhile, are in fifth, while VfL Wolfsburg are just outside the top five, at sixth place. Talk about déjà vu.

    Two Returns to the Top

For Bayern Munich, returning to the top of the Bundesliga table is more or less a foregone conclusion at this point. The soccer club has won 25 German championship titles since inception, including six of the past 10 Bu

  7. Borussia Dortmund Home Kit 2015 - 2016: The Start of a New Era

By all accounts, the 2015 2016 season will bring about a new dawn for Borussia Dortmund. Last season was a major letdown for fans, with the consistent German title contenders falling to seventh place on the Bundesliga standings table. The end of the season brought the resignation of beloved manager Jurgen Klopp-arguably the greatest coach the team ever had-and the start of the 2015 2016 campaign will herald the arrival of new manager, Thomas Tuchel. Needless to say, the football squad needed a new kit design to mark the start of the era, and Puma came through with the Borussia Dortmund home kit 2015 - 2016.

Puma launched the new soccer shirt on July 1st, with a video featuring footage of both fans and players wearing the fresh design. Dortmund stars such as Marco Reus, Shinji Kagawa, Kevin Groskreutz, and Oliver Kirch can be seen in the official video, clad in the new yellow home jersey.

Following two long coaching stints at FSV Mainz and Borussia Dortmund, Klopp will be taking a sabbatical next season. Originally, Klopp was ready to leap right back into the fray following his departure from Borussia Dortmund. He no longer felt he was the best coach for the job at BVB after the club's disappointing seventh place finish in the 2014 2015 Bundesliga.

  9. Jurgen Klopp Versus Thomas Tuchel: Comparing their Management Styles

After one of the most tumultuous seasons in Borussia Dortmund history, longtime manager Jurgen Klopp

What does this mean for the Black and Yellows? Will the club's play style shift dramatically to suit Tuchel's new management styles? What kind of transfers might be expected under new management? 10. Jurgen Klopp Ends His Reign at Borussia Dortmund with a DFB Pokal Final Loss

Instead of leaving on a high, Jurgen Klopp ends his reign at Borussia Dortmund with a disappointing loss in the DFB Pokal final. Borussia Dortmund have come a long way from their mid-season doldrums. After dropping to dead last on the 2014 2015 Bundesliga standings table, the Black and Yellows were able to get themselves back into seventh place before the end of the season. They also beat Bayern Munich in a nail-biter of a DFB Pokal semifinal, keeping pace with the German football champions through extra time before beating them in a penalty kick shootout.

It was a solid bit of redemption, but not enough to convince Jurgen Klopp-who has coached BVB for a strong seven-year run-that he still belonged at the club. Feeling that he was no longer the best choice to lead Borussia Dortmund, Klopp resigned his post as manager, with the DFB Pokal final (against Wolfsburg) set to be his final game in charge.

    One Last Hurrah
