Tottenham's Push for League Cup GloryÂ
You'll want to have all of this gear ready to go come December 16th, when Spurs host Newcastle United in the fifth round of League Cup play. The fixture will be a high-stakes one, deciding which team earns the right to advance to the semifinals of the tournament. Your kids will want to be on hand in their boys Tottenham kit, cheering the team forward.
Not that Tottenham needs extra help. So far, the club has looked positively unbreakable throughout cup competition. Like the other English football teams participating in the Champions and Europa Leagues, Spurs received a bye into the third round, playing their first game in the tournament on September 24th.
That particular game, a home fixture against Nottingham Forest, brought fans out to White Hart Lane in droves. From the Spurs kids home kit 2014 2015 to adult home jerseys, the stands were awash with white and blue.
The Spurs didn't disappoint. After an uneventful, 0-0 first half, Nottingham defender Jorge George broke the ice by scoring a soccer goal at the 61-minute mark. It was an uneasy moment for Tottenham Hotspur fans, but the pressure ultimately proved to be good for the home team, who pushed things into overdrive with the last 20 minutes of the football match.
At the 72-minute mark, midfielder Ryan Mason finally put Tottenham on the board. Eleven minutes later, forward Robert Soldado found the back of the net, giving the Lilywhites the lead. A third and final goal in the last minutes of the game, from forward Harry Kane, ended the match 3-1 in favor of the home squad. It was a proud moment for the young supporters in the boys Tottenham kit.
Subsequent Rounds
A similar narrative occurred in the fourth round of the tournament. Supporters again flooded White Hart Lane, and the Spurs again waited until the second half to turn on the heat. Goals from Erik Lamela and Harry Kane-at 54 and 74 minutes, respectively-put the home team up 2-0 for a win over Brighton & Hove Albion.
Now, the fifth round of play approaches, and it will be the most challenging one yet. Luckily, the match will again be played at home. That means there will be plenty of enthusiasm from boys in the Spurs kids home kit 2014 2015 to drive the club to another victory.
Still, this is the stage of the tournament where Tottenham Hotspur lost last year-against West Ham United-and that was also a home fixture. Furthermore, Newcastle is a worthy opponent for the Spurs. When the two soccer clubs met one another earlier this fall, for a 2014 2015 Premier League fixture, Newcastle won 2-1.
Will the December 16th game have a similar outcome? Or will Tottenham Hotspur win the right to move on to the semifinals of the tournament? We still have a bit of a wait to find out, but you can start to stock up on team gear now. From goalkeeper shirts to boys Tottenham kit variations, we have a range of 2014 2015 gear for both kids and adults!
