It was recently announced that AC Milan forward and former Brazilian international Robinho was to be called up for Brazil's friendlies against Chile and Honduras.

Brazil are already named as one of the teams included in next year's World Cup as they are the 2014 hosts, but friendlies were organised in order for Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari to see which players he would take with him.

Robinho expressed his joy after being named in the squad after a two year absence from the national team, his son seemed much more overjoyed that his Dad would get to play next to his favourite player in the very popular Neymar soccer jerseys.

Barcelona ace Neymar admitted that he was delighted to see Robinho returning to the Brazil squad.

The pair have played together before at Neymar & Robinho's previous club Santos.

Neymar said "After he returned to play at Santos our friendship grew and we are still very good friends to this day".

The first friendly against Honduras saw the Brazil soccer jerseys net 5 goals past their opposition, but who expected any less from the national side?

After all they are one of the most successful national teams in the World with some World class players in their squad.

The game was played inside the Maracana stadium on the 17th November at 00:30 (Brazil time). 21 players were included in the squad and the starting 11 were; Neymar, Jo, Oscar, Paulinho, Bernard, Luiz Gustavo, Maicon, Dante, Maxwell, Luiz and goalkeeper victor.

The Brazilians were only 1-0 up at half time, with a goal in the 20th minute thanks to Paulinho's clever set up which saw Bernard score the first goal in the Brazil soccer jerseys.

After half time we saw AC Milan striker Robinho make his return to international football for the first time in just over two years, he came on for former Manchester City team-mate Jo.

Soon after Robinho's appearance, team-mate Dante scored Brazil's second in the 55th minute.

Things were looking great, all of the players gave 100% and this showed when defender Maicon netted from a rebound shot.

Confidence was high and who else to score the next one other than Chelsea's summer signing Willian, he may not be showing his best form at the Bridge but his international soccer is never a doubt.

To finish Honduras off in style Willian, Ramires and Robinho set up a clever move providing Hulk with the perfect chance to score Brazil's fifth.

And that's how the score stayed until the final whistle.

Although Robinho played well in his first international game in two years he had not yet managed to get his name down on the score sheet.

There was one win, now it was time for the match against a slightly tougher opponent, Chile.

Once again Robinho was picked as one of the players to wear one of the Brazil soccer jerseys.

This game again, was to be played inside the Maracana stadium. The match kicked off at 01:00 (Brazil time) yesterday on the 20th November. First to score was Hulk, again after his goal in the friendly against Honduras.

In the second half we saw a change in the Brazil soccer jerseys with Robinho coming on for Jo again.

Unfortunately for Brazil, Chile equalised in the 71st minute with a goal from Vargas when he netted a right foot shot against goalkeeper Cesar.

This did not last long though as 8 minutes later, Neymar set up a clever move with a great pass to Maicon who crossed the ball in to Robinho who scored the winner in the 79th minute.

Neymar and Robinho were pictured celebrating together; Neymar was praised in the press for another outstanding display.

After scoring the winner in the Chile friendly, Robinho was named the 'Chile Killer' after the win last night, this is due to statistics suggesting that the striker has now scored 9 against Chile, their South American rivals and one more than Pele managed to score past them.

Neymar's performances for club and country have been dazzling and this has certainly been noted by the media, coaches and football fans from all around the world.

The Neymar soccer jerseys are very popular in online soccer shops for both Barcelona and Brazil.

In my opinion i think that Robinho has done enough to secure a place in the Brazil squad in next year's World Cup, along with this Brazilian team-mate and superstar Neymar.

Do you rate Robinho as a player or do you think he already had this time to shine two years ago?
