The World Cup 2014 is edging ever closer, the tournament will officially start on the 12th June 2014 and will end of 13th July 2014. It will be interesting to see who makes it through to the World Cup and who does not qualify. Our last World Cup took place in South Africa, in the end it was Spain who were crowned champions, and will we have new champions next year? The 2014 World Cup will be hosted by Brazil, the country have one 5 World Cup titles out of 19 themselves and will be looking to regain that title next year. Italy also won four times, German three times, Argentina and Uruguay with two each and England, France and Spain hold one title each. Show your support next year with the Brazil Green Training Top.

The Maracana stadium is located in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil; it was originally opened in 1950 to host the FIFA World Cup in which Brazil were beaten by Uruguay in the final 2-1. Â The stadium is regularly used by the four local football teams in Rio De Janeiro; Botafogo, Flamengo, Fluminense and Vasco da Gama, as well as it being a national stadium for Brazil games. The stadium closed in 2010 and has been extensively refurbished in preparation for the 2014 Fifa World Cup that is being hosted by Brazil. The refurbishment has involved demolishing the original two tier seating bowl and replacing this with a single tier seating bowl, the seat colours reflect Brazilian national colours and those of the Brazil home shirt. From the outside the stadium is a domed shape, it looks modern and has been likened to a spaceship. There is now much more to the most popular sport in the world than what there used to be. Football has become very popular and is now one of the most watched and played sports in the world. A few years ago the aim of the game used to be to put on one of your team's football tops and score as many goals as possible and reach the highest in the table. Now there are many more factors and expectations in the world of football. There is a lot of money in football, the size of the player's wage packets for one.
