Fans in the BVB jersey have not had much to be happy about as of late. At the end of 2014, their club was sitting in second to last place on the 2014 2015 Bundesliga standings table. Last Friday, the Borussia Dortmund Away Shirt 2014 - 2015squad drew 0-0 in an away fixture with Bayer Leverkusen. And now, the Black and Yellows have suffered their first competitive loss at home for 2015, trailing 0-1 behind Augsburg.

A Poor Record

The point is, don't throw in the towel with your support of Borussia Dortmund just yet. Sure, the soccer squad has had an exceedingly bad season, and yes, they are now sitting in last place on the 2014 2015 Bundesliga table. But to be fair, the team also had to kick off 2015 with some very challenging fixtures.

Indeed, in their first week back to competitive play, the wearers of the BVB jersey have faced off against two of the top five teams in the league. Bayer Leverkusen is in fifth place, with a record of eight wins, eight draws, and three losses. FC Augsburg, meanwhile, is in fourth with 11 wins, zero draws, and eight losses.

Those aren't great competitive records, especially considering the fact that Bayern Munich has only lost a single fixture all year. But they are markedly better than what BVB has at the moment. Indeed, The Black and Yellows are sitting at 4-4-11 after the outcomes of the two most recent games.

Given the bad record, no one really knew what to expect last Friday when the squad donned the Borussia Dortmund away shirt and headed off to face Leverkusen. On one hand, BVB was a bottom-ranked team playing a top-five club. On the other hand, Dortmund was the runner-up in the 2013 2014 Bundesliga, and it seems like it should only be a matter of time before the team's winning side makes a return.

For fans following the latter line of thinking, the scoreless draw in the Leverkusen away fixture was a big disappointment. Many had been hoping that Borussia would launch a comeback with the start of 2015. But perhaps they just needed the help of a home audience to do it.

Borussia Dortmund got to play in front of that home audience yesterday, when Augsburg visited Signal Iduna Park for a midweek battle. But even when surrounded by cheering football fans in the BVB jersey the Black and Yellows couldn't summon their winning spirit.

To Borussia's credit, the contest ended up being pretty evenly matched. Neither soccer team found the back of the net in the first 45 minutes of play, and the game went to halftime with a draw of 0-0. Unfortunately, Augsburg managed a goal at the 50-minute mark, and despite numerous efforts, Dortmund was unable to respond. The final score was 0-1.

The loss only further solidifies BVB's play at the bottom of the 2014 2015 Bundesliga table. The football club only has 16 points in the standings-30 less than Bayern Munich. The 16th and 17th place slots are occupied by Stuttgart and Hertha BSC, both of which have 18 points.

Will the Black and Yellows be able to improve their standing at all this weekend, when they head off for an away game against Freiburg? It's possible. Freiburg was one of the only teams that Dortmund beat during the first half of the season, winning 3-1 in a September home fixture. So pull on your Borussia Dortmund away shirt 2014 2015 on Saturday, and cheer BVB to their first Bundesliga win in two months!

You can find both home and away versions of the BVB jersey for sale at Soccer Box. As was mentioned previously, the home shirt is currently 10% off, while the away jersey is 20% off.
