As each football season ends, most clubs change their kits and bring out a new style kit, sometimes with a change of sponsor or manufacturer. This is often a peak time for most sports retailers with millions of pre-orders coming in. A lot of football fans get to pre-order their football shirts and kits so they are guaranteed one when they come in. Sports retailers will put the new shirt on their website with the official launch date with a selection of sizes ready to order. This year it is Chelsea who are first to have their shirt online ready to pre-order. The launch date for the Chelsea home kit and goalkeeper kit is the 15th May 2013. Some football fans may not have heard the news of the new shirt coming out in May but most will have, some people try and find spoiler pictures of new shirts on various websites but most of these get found out to be fake images.

This year the new Chelsea goalkeeper kit is a very eye-catching colour. The design of the shirt is bright yellow with black sleeves, Adidas have stayed as manufacturers for Chelsea and have stamped their mark on the shirt with the famous three stripes in yellow. These are situated on the shoulders of the goalkeeper shirt and sit on top of the black sleeves; these two colours mixed together give the shirt a very fresh look. There is an embroidered Adidas badge on the front of the shirt with the Chelsea club crest opposite.  Chelsea's usual sponsor Samsung continue to sponsor the London club and their logo is positioned in the centre of the shirt. As with Chelsea's previous goalkeeper kit this one features Adidas's climacool technology which is guaranteed to keep you cool and dry so you can concentrate on the game. As well as the Chelsea Goalkeeper shirt, the club have also released their home shirt ready for pre-order. The new home shirt 2013-14 has a very modern design; it comes in the classic blue Chelsea colour and keeps the same logos, sponsors and stripes as before.

We are expecting sales of the Chelsea kit 2013 to be high this year as they aim to reach the top spot next season, with champions Manchester United losing their manager to retirement. The new season could turn out to be an exciting one now with David Moyes in charge, we will have to wait and see if them loosing Sir Alex Ferguson will change the dynamics of the Premier League. Other teams that are changing their goalkeeper kit include Liverpool; their new 2013-14 goalkeeper shirt is white in colour with black pinstripes. The club are still keeping Warrior as their main kit manufacturer and keep the same sponsor in Standard Chartered. Other teams that will be changing their goalkeeper kit include Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. Chelsea's new goalkeeper kit will be worn by their number 1 keeper Petr Cech. The kit will be used throughout the 13-14 season and also worn during the 14-15 season. The whole Chelsea team will look fantastic walking out for the first time in their new kit.
