Norway
Regardless of which Croatia soccer shirt you like best, you'll want to pick one up after Saturday's big win. After all, it's very unlikely that this particular football squad will be missing out on a Euro 2016 slot.
The Blazers set fire to the pitch on Saturday, donning the Croatia home jersey 2014 2015 and taking on the Norwegian national team at their own Stadion Maksimir. The game started off slowly, with only one goal (from Croatia's Marcelo Brozevic) scored in the entire first half.
In the second half, though, the Blazers really got to work. In the first 20 minutes of the period, Croatia had upped their lead to 3-0, thanks to terrific offensive maneuvers from Ivan Perisic (with an assist from Ivan Rakitic) and from Ivica Olic (with an assist from Mario Mandzukic).
Norway did eventually get on the board, with an 81-minute strike from Alexander Banor. But even after the Norwegians broke the shutout score, the home side still had a few more tricks up their sleeve. Gordon Schildenfeld found the back of the net at 87 minutes to make the score 4-1, and Daniel Pranjic closed the match out in fine form with a fifth goal in the dying moments of the match.
Euro Qualification Standings
Home fans in the 2014 2015 Croatia soccer shirt went wild over the victory against Norway, and for good reason. The victory pushed the Blazers into first place in UEFA qualifying Group H, past previous group leaders Italy.
Indeed, with five of their 10 European Championship qualifying games played, the Croatian squad is in first place in Group H, with a point total of 13. They've won four of their matches so far and drawn the other one, racking up a goal difference rating of +13 in the process. Italy, meanwhile, fell to second place on Saturday after a draw with Bulgaria.
The Croatian side has never won a Euro title, and has only participated in four previous tournaments. With how well the squad is doing in the qualifiers, fans are hoping that 2016 will see the best-ever performance for the Blazers in the prestigious UEFA event. Previously, the squad has only gone as far as the quarterfinals, so based on how well they are playing in the qualifying rounds-against such a heavyweight world football presence as Italy, no less-2016 might just be their year.
Of course, the Blazers will have to go through five more qualifying games before they can even secure a spot in next year's tournament. The next fixture on the schedule will take place in June, and will see them donning the Croatia home jersey 2014 2015 for a head-to-head battle with the Italians. A win in that match would go a long way toward asserting their dominance at the top of Group H.
Stop by Soccer Box today and pick up a Croatia soccer shirt to root for this promising team! Both the 2014 2015 home shirt and the away jersey (as well as jersey designs from previous years) are available, and can be had for discount prices!
