The England national football team had something of a mixed bag 2014. On one hand, they crashed out of the 2014 World Cup in disastrous fashion. On the other hand, they won all of their games during the 
second half of the year, including four qualifying fixtures for the 2016 UEFA European Championship. Now, after a long break, the Three Lions are preparing to recommence Euro qualification play with a March 27th home game with Lithuania. Lithuania
You'll want to be all stocked up on your England shirts by March 27th, when the Three Lions will take their home pitch at Wembley Stadium to face Lithuania. The two football teams are competing as a part of UEFA Qualifying Group E-which also includes Slovenia, Switzerland, Estonia, and San Marino.
Of the countries in Group E, Lithuania is the only one that England hasn't played (and beaten) yet. The March 27th home fixture will mark the fifth Euro qualifying game, out of a total 10. And if the English side can defeat Lithuania, then they will be more or less guaranteed a spot in Euro 2016. Needless to say, fans will want to have their England kids home jersey or adult third jersey ready for the game, since it will likely be an exciting one!
At no time on recent record has England come head to head with the Lithuanian team. That fact makes the outcome of their upcoming battle somewhat hard to predict. How will these two soccer squads compare and contrast with one another on the field? Will the Lithuanians be able to exploit flaws in the English defense that other teams haven't? Only time will tell.
What we do know is that Lithuania has never qualified for the UEFA European Championship or the FIFA World Cup. They have also lost two of their qualifying games so far (with Slovenia and Switzerland), while winning fixtures against weaker teams Estonia and San Marino. Based on those stats, the wearers of the England shirts might be in the clear for winning the March 27th home game is concerned.
The 2016 European Championship Qualifiers
After all, the Three Lions have been dominating the Euro 2016 qualification rounds so far. Of all the football teams in the qualifiers, only Slovakia and the Czech Republic can match England's perfect (so far) four-win record.
Needless to say, it's a proud time to be a fan in the England kids home jersey 2014 2015. Not even Germany, last year's World Cup champ, has a perfect record in the qualifiers so far. On the contrary, Germany has only won two games, drawing one and losing the other!
More than just winning games, the Three Lions have scored decisive victories. For instance, they took down Switzerland and Estonia in away games, winning 2-0 and 1-0 respectively. They also mopped the floor with San Marino in a 5-0 home fixture, and topped Slovenia 3-1-also at home. Slovenia is the only soccer squad in Group E that has even managed to score a point against the England football team so far.
