In the 2014 2015 Bundesliga, Bayern Munich have already been crowned the champions, while Borussia Dortmund are still trying to redeem themselves for the dreadful dry spell they had in the fall. In this year's DFB Pokal, though, none of that mattered. During an April 28th battle at Bayern's own Allianz Arena, after 130+ minutes of competitive play, extra time, and penalty kicks, the Bavarians lost to Dortmund's Black and Yellows. The loss is the one black mark on Bayern's stellar 2014 2015 season, which includes a Bundesliga victory and a spot in the Champions League semifinals. Still, the football club fought valiantly in their campaign for a third consecutive German Cup, and you can celebrate the effort with a new FC Bayern jersey from Soccer Box.

Whether you are looking for FC Bayern Munich gear to mark the end of the club's DFB Pokal run, to prepare for the team's victory lap in the final weeks of the Bundesliga, or to cheer them toward a Champions League title, you can find the merchandise you are looking for at Soccer Box. The DFB Pokal

The wearers of the FC Bayern jersey are no strangers to the DFB Pokal's final rounds. They participated in the high-profile championship match during each of the last three season. Last year, they beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 to claim the cup; the year before, they topped VFB Stuttgart 3-2 to claim their glory; and in 2011 2012, they fell 2-5 to Dortmund, with Borussia's Robert Lewandowski scoring a hat trick of goals to seal the outcome.

Fast-forward three years and Lewandowski plays for Bayern Munich, and actually scored the first goal of the club's semifinal match with Borussia. However, Lewandowski's successful scoring drive at the 29-minute mark was merely one small component of the marathon April 28th match, and it wasn't enough to deny Dortmund a bright spot in their otherwise grey 2014 2015 season.

Borussia Dortmund

For a long time, it looked like the Munich team were going to manage a similarly low-scoring triumph in the April 28th cup match. Not only did they outpace Dortmund in terms of possession and shots on goal, but it also took 75 minutes of play for the Black and Yellows to finally get on the board.

Indeed, it wasn't until mid-way through the second half that Borussia's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang finally equalized the score. That was enough to knock the home side off their game, though: Bayern Munich weren't able to regain the upper hand before regular match time ran out, and a 30-minute burst of extra time did nothing to break the tie either. After 120 minutes of play, the game was still tied at 1-1, and fans in both the FC Bayern jersey and the black and yellow Dortmund shirt were getting antsy for a resolution.

Penalty Kicks

The resolution finally came as the marathon match entered its penalty kick phase. In an uncharacteristically poor showing, the wearers of the FC Bayern Munich home shirt 2014 2015 missed four kicks in a row to give Dortmund a golden opportunity. And with just two on-target shots, Borussia found victory.

The defeat pushes Munich out of the 2014 2015 German Cup, ahead of the May 30th final set to be played at Berlin's famed Olympiastadion. It will be the first time since 2011 that Germany's most decorated football club has failed to appear in the final.

Get over the disappointing loss and get ready for what's left of the 2014 2015 campaign, with a new FC Bayern jersey from Soccer Box. Whether you are looking for a home shirt, an away jersey, or a third shirt, you can find it here.
