Real Madrid are one of the most well-known clubs in International football. They are a Spanish team whose home ground is named the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu also known as 'The Bernabeu'.

They play in the La Liga, which is the top tier in Spanish soccer. Real Madrid have some of the best footballing superstars playing for the team including the super skilled Cristiano Ronaldo, Xabi Alonso, Sami Kedira, Luka Modric, Pepe and many more.

Gareth Bale is a former Tottenham Hotspur player and also plays for the national Welsh team. He is 24 years old and has been playing football for many years from a young age.

We first saw a Gareth Bale soccer jersey when he played for his first team Cardiff Civil Service Football Club.

While playing for his local Welsh team, Bale was spotted by a Southampton football club during a six-a-side soccer tournament, at this time he was aged 9.

During P.E Bale's teacher used different rules when the class played football, he was restricted to using only his right foot and had to play one touch ball.

At age 16 Gareth Bale signed for Southampton who had been following him for many years.

He started for the club during the 2005-2006 season. During his time at Southampton, Bale won many awards including the Best Young Player of the Year 2007.

Unfortunately for Southampton, Bale decided that he wanted to move on to bigger things to challenge himself and he signed for Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the 2007 season.  Spurs paid a total of £7 million pounds to have him in the Tottenham Hotspur Gareth Bale soccer jersey.

Bale played some blinding performances for Spurs and was starting to get noticed more and more, attracting interest from many different clubs. He first started to really show just how good he was in the 2010-2011 season onwards.

Carlo Ancelotti certainly showed that he was interested in signing the Welshman and even publicly announced it.

Before we knew it Real Madrid had offered Tottenham Hotspur around £86 million pounds to see him in his Real Madrid Gareth Bale soccer jersey.

Much to the fans disappointment, the club and Tottenham Hotspur's manager Andre-Villas-Boas accepted Real's offer for the talented winger.

Unfortunately during pre-season training Bale injured his thigh and this injury kept him out of the first two games in October.

Not wanting to rush him in to action to soon, manager Ancelotti decided that he would ease him slowly back in to action and he played just 14 minutes in a game against Malaga on the 19th October, he did not score in this game but claimed the team a penalty in stoppage time.

Bale's form was not outstanding over the next few games, but in a match against Sevilla the 24 year old found his feet, scoring two goals and also assisting an additional two goals.

The Spanish press named Bale 'The Cannon' and this stuck with the supporters too.

His fantastic form continued and he scored a further 3 goals throughout November for Real Madrid. He was certainly starting to show that he deserved his nomination for the Ballon D'or, he then went on to score a hat trick against Real Valladoid On Saturday 30th November.

During this match Cristiano Ronaldo was ruled out with an ongoing injury and had to watch the Welshman score a hat trick in his Gareth Bale soccer jersey.

Bale did however make it clear than he still thought that Cristiano Ronaldo was a fantastic player and will thoroughly deserve to win the Ballon D'or next year.
