The 2014 2015 Championship

Following their relegation from the Premiership at the end of the 2011 2012 season, the wearers of the Glasgow Rangers jersey began the rebuilding process in the Scottish Third Division, the fourth tier of Scotland professional football. The Teddy Bears easily became champions, a feat they replicated in the Scottish League One last year.

With the 2014 2015 season, the Rangers have faced their first substantial challenge since being relegated. While the football club easily rose to the top of the third and fourth tier divisions, they won't be claiming victory in this year's Scottish Championship division. Indeed, Heart of Midlothian is so far above the rest of the league right now (they are 22 points ahead of everyone else in the division standings) that they have already won the Championship and earned promotion into the 2015 2016 Premiership.

Fans in the Glasgow Rangers away shirt don't have to get upset about the outcome just yet, though. While the Teddy Bears will not win the 2014 2015 Championship, that doesn't necessarily mean they will have to spend another season in the division next year.

On the contrary, if the Glasgow soccer squad finishes the season in second place (which is where they are currently ranked), then they will earn a bye into the semifinals of the promotion playoffs. Even if they slip to third place-a possibility, as Hibernian is only four points back in the standings-they would still get a bye to the quarterfinals of the playoff.

In other words, fans had better get their Glasgow Rangers jersey and other gear ready. The Teddy Bears are going to need all of the support they can get to finally get back into the Premiership. Obviously, playing in the promotion playoffs will put a lot of pressure on the club.

Recent Successes

The good news is that the Teddy Bears have been playing quite well lately, on the whole. On March 22nd, they donned the Glasgow Rangers away shirt 2014 2015 for a 2-0 win over Hibernian. On April 5th, they bested Heart of Midlothian in a 2-1 home game-one of just three losses that Midlothian has suffered all season. And on April 12th, the Rangers won 4-0 in a home fixture against the Raith Rovers in one of their biggest victories of the 2014 2015 campaign so far.

The triumphant nature of those fixtures was dampened somewhat on April 9th, when the Teddy Bears lost 0-3 in an away game with Queen of the South. Queen of the South are currently in fourth place on the 2014 2015 Championship standings table, and will also likely earn a spot in the promotion playoff.

In other words, the Rangers could face a rematch against the club in the not-too-distant future. And whether that rematch is a home game or an away fixture, the soccer team will have to be able to win in order to progress to the Premiership.

Luckily things are definitely on the positive side for the Rangers right now. This past weekend, they won 3-1 in an away fixture against Dumbarton.

Root for the Teddy Bears to finally return to the top flight of Scotland's professional football system. Pick up a Glasgow Rangers jersey from Soccer Box today! Whether you are looking for a 2014 2015 home shirt, an away jersey, or a third shirt, you can find it in our store.
