For England he made 115 appearances, most of which he played as captain and netted roughly 17 times.

In his days as part of the England squad he became more and more popular with people around the world hearing about him and making him more and more famous. Millions of Manchester United replica football shirts were being purchased due to his large fan base. During his time playing for the red devils, United and David Beckham won the Premier league six times, the FA Cup twice and the Champions league in the year of 1999. When Beckham had decided his time was up at Manchester United he decided to move on and in 2003 he moved over to Spanish giants Real Madrid for a record breaking sum of 24.5 million pounds when they made clear they wanted to buy the footballing superstar. There had been much speculation flying around for over 2 months and fans were hoping he would not leave. Once the news was out many fans were not happy about Beckham leaving United as many saw him as their hero. The 37 year old also left the national England side and him and his family decided to go and live closer to where David Beckham would now be playing.

David played for Real Madrid from 2003-2007 and enjoyed his four seasons playing in the Real Madrid replica football shirt.  He made 116 appearances and scored 13 goals and also achieved winning the La Liga championship during his final season at the club. Beckham's next move was to Los Angeles Galaxy, here he made 98 appearances and netted 18 times. He played there until 2012 but enjoyed loan spells at AC Milan in 2009 and 2010 scoring only two goals.

Beckham's latest move was to Paris Saint Germain in 2013 where he signed a five month deal and so far he has made approximately 6 appearances with more to come and no goals as of yet. When Beckham moved to PSG he decided to donate his entire wage to a local children's charity during his time in Paris. Beckham has worked very hard and has had a successful football career so far. However he is not sure whether he will be taking on a new challenge after his spell in his Paris Saint Germain shirt and we wonder if Beckham's time is now up.

What do you think? Should Beckham have moved to Real Madrid from United? Do you think that Beckham will retire after his spell at PSG? We would love to hear from you.
