Juventus clinched their 29th win in the Italian Serie A league on Sunday when they beat Palermo 1-0.  It was a tough match for Juventus who only needed a draw to be guaranteed they would be crowned champions.  The team in their Juventus football kit struggled against the Palermo defence who played well, however Vidal netted a penalty after a foul against Vucinic.  Sundays win in Turin put the Juventus football team 11 points ahead of Napoli who are in 2nd, with only three matches left to play Juventus's score of 83 cannot be beaten.  This is the clubs 29th time being Serie A league champions, and they are undoubtedly Italy's most successful football team. This win gives Juventus their second successive Scudetto, a feat not officially achieved for eleven years since the 2001/02 and 2002/03 seasons.  Of course Juventus won the Serie A in the years 2005 and 2006, however these titles were striped from the club, and they were demoted to second division along with Lazio and Fiorentina, following an Italian Football Federation decision regarding match fixing.

This difficult time in the clubs history is known as the Calciopoli scandal, and resulted in the Juventus football kit playing in the Serie B league for the first ever time.  Despite many of the teams top players including Ibrahimovic and Cannavaro leaving, Juventus finished top of the Serie B and were immediately promoted back into the Serie A in the 2007/08 season. Antonio Conte the Juventus manger has thanked the players, the club and all the support staff who have helped the team win their 29th league victory.

Conte who was captain of the winning Juventus team eleven years ago has said he wants to remain at Juventus, he has signed a contract until 2015 and stated "I dreamt of returning and winning here and that's precisely what has happened. I'm in the right place".  Juventus's general manager Beppe Marotta has hinted that Conte's future at the club is secure and their next aim is to conquer Europe.  Marotta admitted that Bayern Munich are a much better side at the moment, but with the transfer window soon to open Juventus will be looking to spend some money and strengthen the team, by adding some new faces to wear the Juventus football kit next season.

It has been rumoured by the English media that in their attempt to attract Luis Suarez away from Liverpool, Juventus have been in talks regarding a possible £26m transfer fee.  They also have their eye on Manchester United's Javier Hernandez, who has recently stated that he was disappointed not to have had more match time during this season, he may therefore be looking for new opportunities where he can showcase his talent, perhaps this opportunity will come from Italy and we will see him in the Juventus football kit next season.

What do you think of Italy's 29th Scudetto? Can they compete with the European giants in next years Champions League competition?
