From Losing Streak to Winning Streak

It's a great time to be a fan of the English national side now, but earlier this year, that wasn't the case. A disastrous run at the 2014 World Cup was demoralizing for all fans, whether they were young boys wearing the kids England football shirt or grown ups in the adult 2014 2015 away jersey.

In fact, the tournament saw England's worst-ever finish at the World Cup. Out of the 32 soccer teams that qualified for soccer's biggest even, the English finished the cup in 26th place. Other than a trio of missed qualifications (in 1974, 1998, and 1994), it was only the third time the country had finished out of the top 10 in the World Cup. In 1958, they had landed at 11th place, while 2010 saw them in the unlucky slot number 13.

Luckily, the national side was able to bounce back fairly quickly. Qualifiers for the 2016 European Championship have brought out the best for English football this fall: the squad is currently riding high on a six-game winning streak.

That winning streak includes four qualifying fixtures for Euro 2016, as well as a pair of friendly soccer matches against neighboring football organizations. The four qualification wins have been particularly rewarding for supporters in the England boys home shirt 2014 2015.

Played in UEFA qualifying Group E, the games have seen English footballers defeat Switzerland, San Marino, Estonia, and Slovenia. The four fixtures have seen the England soccer squad score 11 goals and concede only one. In other words, the team has a near-untouchable advantage in Group E right now, even though qualifying countries won't be fully decided until October 2015.

The Slovenia Match

England's last competitive football match of 2014 was played at home and against Slovenia on November 15th. The stands of Wembley Stadium filled with boys wearing the kids England football shirt, or parents in the adult home jersey, and none of these fans were disappointed.

Things did look a bit worrisome throughout a scoreless first half, or when England's Jordan Henderson scored an own goal and gave Slovenia the lead at the 58-minute mark. Luckily, captain and forward Wayne Rooney scored an equalizer just a minute later, thanks to a penalty goal.

Rooney has been on fire lately for his national side, scoring in all but one of the matches that England has played since the World Cup. Still, he's not the only player your kids will be admiring this holiday season if you give them an England boys home shirt 2014 2015.

On the contrary, their admiration will also be directed at Danny Welbeck, who has been key to the British success this fall. Welbeck saved the day in the Slovenia match, scoring two goals in a period of six minutes to give England a 3-1 win. He's also been the deciding factor in two other qualification games, scoring England's only points in winning matches against Estonia and Switzerland. In many ways, the Arsenal striker is the reason that the English are doing so well in the Euro 2016 qualifiers.

Will that run of strong performances continue in 2015? We'll have to wait awhile to see, since the Three Lions won't play their next match until March 2015. In that time, though, you have plenty of time to stock up on new gear for yourself and your young boys or girls!
