A New Kit Manufacturer for 2015 - 2016
Soccer Box is one of the best sources on the net for replica football kits. Whether you are looking for a shirt for your favorite national team, or for a club football jersey, you can find it here. We have a wide range of 2014 2015 Liverpool jersey designs in stock currently, including the red replica home shirt, the yellow replica away jersey, and the purple goalkeeper shirt. We also have the Liverpool home shirt 2015 2016 (next year's home jersey) up for pre-order!
The new home team version of the Liverpool replica jersey represents both a continuation of traditions and a break from them. On one hand, the shirt retains the dignified red and white look that has long characterized the soccer club's home kits. On the other hand, Liverpool has swapped kit manufacturers for 2015 2016, jumping from Warrior to New Balance. New Balance is the parent company to Warrior, though, so shirt styles won't be changing drastically.
The FA Cup
While the new Liverpool home shirt already has fans looking forward to next season, though, the 2014 2015 campaign still isn't quite complete. For the Reds, though, completion is certainly close, following this past weekend's sad exit from FA Cup contention.
Many football experts were predicting an FA Cup championship match-up between Liverpool and reigning victors, Arsenal. The Gunners are on the way to the final, after beating Reading in an extra time away fixture this past weekend. The Reds, on the other hand, are not so lucky, after losing their own away game match-up with Aston Villa.
By all accounts, the wearers of the Liverpool replica jersey should have been able to beat Aston Villa at Sunday's match. After all, the Reds are 10 slots ahead of the Lions on the 2014 2015 Premier League table. They also beat Aston handily back in January, netting a 2-0 victory in one of their first away games of the year.
When it came time for the actual fixture, though, none of those statistics or precedents mattered.
The Reds did get on the board first, with a goal at the 30-minute mark from attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho. Unfortunately, the Lions were able to equalized just six minutes later (thanks to a goal from Christian Benteke).
Early in the second half, Aston Villa scored a second goal to take the lead and ultimately secure the victory. Liverpool's Mario Balotelli did put a ball in the net in the final minutes of the fixture, but an offside call from the official meant the goal was thrown out and the Reds were denied an opportunity to face off against the Lions in extra time.
Missed OpportunitiesÂ
While many-including Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers-said the offside call was an unfair one, it certainly wasn't the first missed opportunity that the Reds have had this season. On the contrary, Rodgers himself has acknowledged the soccer club's struggles to play well in big games.
This year alone, Liverpool's squad has lost big, make-or-break matches in the League Cup semifinals, the Champions League group stage, and now the FA Cup. Add the end of the 2013 2014 season-where the Reds choked in the final three weeks of Premier League competition, and ended up conceding the top slot to Manchester City-and it seems that this football club simply doesn't play well under pressure. Perhaps they will do better next season, when they pull on the new Liverpool home shirt 2015 2016 from New Balance!
