Man City's Sky Blues have had somewhat of a lukewarm 2015 so far, what with an earlier than anticipated elimination from the 2014 2015 FA Cup and a four-week streak of draws or losses in the Premier League. Luckily for fans of the football club, things turned around last week during an away fixture against Stoke City. Manchester won the match 4-1, giving themselves their biggest win of the New Year so far, and their biggest margin of victory since before Christmas. Celebrate the positive outcome today by picking up a new Man City kit at Soccer Box!
There are still three months left to go in the 2014 2015 Premier League, and Soccer Box is ready for them! We are still all stocked up with Sky Blues gear, from the light blue home kit to the darker hued Manchester City away shirt 2014 2015. We are also carrying this year's green or yellow goalkeeper kit designs, the purple third shirt, and more.
Stoke City
Football fans in the Man City kit had plenty to be happy about, as their squad ran riot over the Stoke City
Potters on February 11th. Despite being the away team at the fixture, the Sky Blues looked right at home at Britannia Stadium-especially when Sergio Aguero netted the first goal of the soccer match at the 33-minute mark.
Manchester City wasn't in the lead for long after Aguero's first goal. Stoke attacker Peter Crouch broke through the Sky Blue defenses just five minutes later to make it a tied game. So it was that, at halftime, the scoreboard read 1-1.
However, the second half was all about Manchester. First, midfielder James Milner caught an assist from teammate Samir Nasri and converted it into a 2-1 lead for the Sky Blues. Next, at the 70-minute mark, Aguero took a penalty goal opportunity to net his second point of the match. And just six minutes after that, Nasri took an assist Edin Dzeko to score his first Premier League goal of the 2014 2015 season.
Needless to say, it was a good game of football for the wearers of the Manchester City away shirt 2014 2015. Even with the last 10 minutes of the match passing without event, the Sky Blues still left the pitch with the winning score of 4-1. Who says playing away has to be a disadvantage?
In fact, this away victory over the Potters featured a better team performance than Manchester has put forth at home in nearly two months. Indeed, the last time Man City had a three-point margin of victory was in a December 20th home win over Crystal Palace.
The last time they scored four or more points in a single soccer game, meanwhile, was a 4-1 away win against Sunderland in early December. So perhaps the away version of the Man City kit is the team's good luck charm this year! This is especially true considering the fact that the Sky Blues lost their home game against Stoke City back in the fall, but won so decisively in the away game.
Upcoming Fixtures
Now that Manchester City has managed a big victory in 2015, fans are hoping that the team will have the momentum necessary to put together a big winning streak. This weekend will bring a Premier League home fixture against Newcastle United, while next Tuesday will see the squad taking on Barcelona for the 2014 2015 Champions League.
Man City scored a 2-0 away victory against Newcastle United in August, for the first game of the 2014 2015 Premier League season. With that in mind, the football team should have little issue grabbing another victory at this weekend's home fixture.
Next week's battle against Barca is a little less certain. Manchester will have the home shirt and home field advantage, but when these two teams last met-a year ago, during the same stage of the UEFA Champions League-they lost both home and away fixtures. The good news is that even if the Sky Blues lose to Barcelona next week, they'll still have a chance at redemption: next month, players will don the Manchester City away shirt 2014 2015 for an away leg at Barca's Camp Nou.
Pick up a new Man City kit and root for the team in both the Premier and Champions Leagues. Soccer Box has numerous versions of the kit available, from the 2014 2015 home shirt and away kit to the goalkeeper shirt or third shirt.
