As of right now, Manchester City is still clinging to the second-place slot on the 2014 2015 Premier League standings table. However, if things continue for the club in the direction they've been going since the start of the New Year, then that could change. After a tie last week with Chelsea, the Sky Blues again had to settle for a 1-1 draw-this time against Hull City's Tigers. Add those outcomes to a few tough losses from January, and it's not hard to see why fans in the Manchester City kit are feeling a bit weary about their team's chances at winning another title this season.
Then again, when the Sky Blues won the Premier League last year, they did it by coming from behind, so perhaps this year could be the same. In any case, it's possible that all the team needs is a bit of extra fan support. You can provide just that with a new Man City home shirt 2014 2015 from Soccer Box! We carry a variety of kit items for this talented soccer squad, from home kit and away shirt designs to jackets and hoodies. Check out our selection of soccer gear today.
A Lukewarm New Year
Throughout the first half of the 2014 2015 soccer season, Manchester looked poised to contend for a second consecutive title. A seven-game winning streak, stretching from mid-November until Boxing Day, closed out 2014 strongly and pointed to even better things in 2015.
Those "better things" emerged during the first game of the New Year for Man City. The football team beat Sunderland 3-2 in a home game, finally ascending to the top spot on the English football table after months of trailing behind Chelsea. Granted, Chelsea remained tied for first, but the fact that the Sky Blues had finally caught up made it seem as if the second half of the 2014 2015 season was going to be one of the more exciting battles in the history of the Premier League.
Since then, the wearers of the Manchester City kit have fallen back a bit. For one thing, the squad hasn't won a Premier League fixture since that Sunderland victory. In the meantime, they've drawn matches with Everton, Chelsea, and now Hull's Tigers.
The first month of 2015 also saw the Sky Blues losing only their third Premier League match of the season so far. On January 18th, players donned the Man City home shirt 2014 2015 to take on Arsenal. Manchester and Arsenal had drawn 2-2 when they played one another back in the fall, so this home football game was a chance for Man City to find a bit of redemption against the Gunners.
Instead, Arsenal earned the redemption, as the Manchester squad lost 0-2 in front of their home audience. Six days later, they lost another home fixture-against Middlesbrough-to be eliminated from the 2014 2015 FA Cup.
Stoke City
Needless to say, it's been a disappointing month and a half period for fans in the Manchester City kit. The Sky Blues have now gone without a competitive win since January 4th. They've also fallen seven points behind Chelsea on the 2014 2015 division standings table. And while the team is still four points ahead of Southampton, the fact is that they need to start winning football games if they are going to remain a contender for the championship title.
Perhaps the first of those wins could come tomorrow, when the Sky Blues head off to Britannia Stadium to face off against Stoke City. Back on August 30th, fans in the Man City home shirt 2014 2015 were heartbroken to see their team lose 0-1 to Stoke's Potters. A win against the Potters now would help to redeem that early season home loss, as well as reignite Manchester's overall momentum.
Root for such an outcome by picking up a new Manchester City kit at Soccer Box! Whether you are looking for a home shirt, an away kit, a training shirt, or even a goalkeeper shirt, you can find it here.
