Manchester United Football Kit
Last Season
The reason everyone is skeptical about the Manchester United football kit and the team that wears it is that Man United is coming off one of the worst years in the history of the club. Last season, Manchester United fell from a league-winning finish in 2011 2012 to a disheartening seventh place slot in 2013 2014.
Even at their worst, the Manchester United squad still did okay. Last year's line-up managed to win 19 games, draw 7 of them, and lose 12. However, compared to previous years, the record was a shock. Just one season previous, Man United had amassed a winning record of 28-5-5. Add 12 other Premier League victories since the turn of the millennium, and there was no doubt at the end of the 2012 2013 season that Manchester United was England's greatest football club.
A Rocky StartÂ
That all changed though, and ever since the start of the 2014 2015 Premier League, Man Utd has been battling to restore former levels of prestige to the Manchester United away shirt 2014 2105.
Things got off to a rocky start, however. After a promising off season, which featured the arrival of a new manager (former Netherlands coach Louis van Gaal) and more than a few club friendly victories, Manchester United lost its first game of the season. The defeat came at home, where Man Utd was bested 2-1 by Swansea City.
Weeks two and three weren't much better for the wearers of the Manchester United football kit. Both matches-against Sunderland and Burnley, respectively-ended in draws.
ResurgenceÂ
After the first three weeks of the 2014 2015 Premier League, things were looking positively dire for Man United. The club was slipping down the league standings table, and fans were beginning to question everything from Van Gaal's coaching style to the appointment of forward Wayne Rooney as team captain.
Luckily, Manchester United has seen something of a resurgence in the past few weeks. The team has continued to see no luck in the Manchester United away shirt 2014 2105: Man Utd lost another away match in week five, falling 5-3 to Leicester City. However, things have turned around at home, and the last three Premier League fixtures at Old Trafford have all ended in favor of the Red Devils.
Man United's first win of the season came in a 4-0 match against Queens Park Rangers. Wayne Rooney and newcomers Angel di Maria and Ander Herrara (recent transfers from Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao, respectively) all helped lead the way with one goal and one assist apiece.
Rooney scored again in the next home match, helping to lead Man United to a 2-1 win over West Ham. Robin van Persie also contributed a goal.
Angel di Maria, meanwhile, was back on the board in Manchester United's most recent match, another 2-1 victory, this time over Everton. He scored a goal at the 27-minute mark, giving Man Utd an early lead. Everton's Scott Naismith equalized the score 10 minutes into the second half, but Radamel Falcao-a United player on loan from AS Monaco-scored his own goal just minutes later to give United the win.
