It wasn't so long ago that Manchester United's Wayne Rooney apparently wanted to 'get away' from the Manchester United football club. However this was while working under Sir Alex Ferguson, there was quite an open-aired bust up between the two at the end of the season because Rooney was said to have requested a transfer away from United. Now that new manager David Moyes has arrived Rooney feels he has been given a new lease of life, he has done fantastically so far in the Manchester United home soccer jersey 2013 - 2014.

The emotion to describe the feeling of Sir Alex Ferguson leaving Manchester United to the fans would have probably been disbelief. It came as a real shock to everybody when the 71 year old announced his retirement after many years in charge of the soccer team from 1986 to 2013.
The Scotsman announced his news at the end of the 2012-13 season. Supporters were so used to him managing the Manchester United football shirts. Many described his retirement as 'the end of an era' and many labelled him as irreplaceable, this may just be true after the start of the 13-14 season.
The team just do not seem to have the momentum and skill that they showed last season. With all the changes that have happened in the space of a month at Manchester United including the ever popular Sir Alex Ferguson leaving, sports business owners will be wondering what will happen to sales of the Manchester United kit.
Very near to the end of the 2012-13 season Sir Alex Ferguson retired as manager at Old Trafford after 26 years in charge of the club. He enjoyed some very successful years at the club; he won 38 trophies including 13 Premier League titles and two UEFA Champion's League titles. All of the Manchester United fans loved and respected him and so did the players. It came as a huge shock when the 71 year old announced his retirement and it left a big hole in the club. Wayne Rooney has made it quite clear now that he would like to leave Manchester United, so why is everybody trying to stop him?
Well there are a number of reasons that the Red devils would probably like to keep hold of the 27 year old striker.
