Soccer Box is the perfect place to find a new Bayern Munich home shirt 2014 2015 or away kit. Both football shirt designs are new this year, courtesy of kit manufacturer Adidas. Soccer Box also has stock available of the 2014 2015 third shirt-a black kit with a red vertical stripe running down the left side.
The Champions League
Regardless of which new Bayern Munich kit design you like best, you'll want to have a shirt or two ready to cheer the team on in the 2014 2015 Champions League. This year, the Bavarians are looking to win their sixth title at the tournament.
With five UCL titles, Bayern Munich has had more success at the UEFA event than any other German football club. No other German team has won more than one title at the tournament, and both Hamburg and Borussia Dortmund have claimed victory on one occasion.
The Bavarians last won the Champions League two years ago, beating out their Bundesliga rivals from Borussia Dortmund for the trophy. They failed to defend their title in 2014 though, losing both the home and away legs of the semifinals to Real Madrid. Real, of course, went on to win a record 10th title.
With that defeat fresh in their minds, the wearers of the Bayern Munich home shirt are hungry to redeem themselves and regain their UCL crown. So far, they've done quite well in that mission, topping their group with five wins and only one loss.
Shakhtar Donetsk
But fans in the new Bayern Munich kit shouldn't be envisioning a podium ceremony just yet. Shakhtar Donetsk has been pretty much the ultimate dark horse or wild card pick in the 2014 2015 Champions League so far. The Ukrainian soccer squad could cause more trouble for the Bavarians than originally anticipated.
During the group stage, Shakhtar's Luiz Adriano scored nine goals-more than any other player in the entire tournament. Indeed, the Brazilian striker even outscored global heavyweights like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in the first six games of this tournament, singlehandedly leading his squad into the round of 16.
There, it was expected that Bayern Munich would make short work of the Ukrainian side. However, in the first leg of the round that certainly wasn't what happened. Instead, both teams looked about evenly matched on the Donetsk home field, blocking one another's offensive drives with impressive consistency. By the time the game's 90 minutes had expired, both teams were still deadlocked at a 0-0 score.
In other words, both soccer clubs still have a shot at progressing to the quarterfinals. Odds-wise, the ball is-quite literally-in Bayern's court. On March 11th, the Bavarians will don the Bayern Munich home shirt 2014 2015 for the home leg of the round of 16. And since Munich tends to win matches at home, the smart money is on them to advance.
Still, getting complacent right now would be risky-especially with a club like Shakhtar Donetsk clearly performing above expectations. With that in mind, show some extra support for the Bavarian football squad with a new Bayern Munich kit from Soccer Box!
