2013liverpoolhomeshirtIt is now the exciting part of the football season again, football teams getting promoted, relegated and some winning league titles. However another feature that all football supporters await is the release of their favourite club's new kit. Near the end of the season is when most clubs start to put their kits out there to sports retailers for pre-order. This is no exception for Merseyside team Liverpool. The reds have announced their release date for their new kits including the Liverpool home shirt 2013/14 to be the 30th May. Plenty of Liverpool fans will be flooding in to purchase the latest shirt and find the best deal. The new Liverpool kit has been revealed and is ready to pre-order now. The design of the new Liverpool home shirt goes right back to the old design from 1984. Warrior, Liverpool's kit manufacturer have revealed that they wanted to create a modern take on the 1984 home shirt. You can definitely see a resemblance between the two shirts. The 2013/14 shirt features plenty of the same details as the classic old shirt, the chunky V-neck collar being one of them. The thick white and red bands on the edge of the sleeves also feature which were prominent on the 1984 shirt. The bright white pinstripes however have been substituted for some darker red pinstripes, the word 'Liverpool' runs down the shirt faintly in vertical lines along with a faint red Liverbird. The yellow Liverpool crest, Warrior logo and Standard Chartered sponsor remain in the yellow colour as they were on the 2012/13 shirt.

Liverpool's squad have excellent potential and could have done much better this season, a number of games have not gone their way and they have not always come away with great results, even when at home in their Liverpool home shirt. Some of their losses have come from relegation battling teams such as Aston Villa and Southampton. This season with one game left to play Liverpool are currently seventh in the Premier League on 58 points, last season they finished eight on 52 points. The Merseyside club have been very successful in the past, winning a number of league cups and multiple trophies. Liverpool's manager Brendan Rogers gave his opinion on the new kit and expressed his happiness at the new design. He stated "It's distinctly Liverpool which the players and I love." "It exceeds what we need it to do technically while also delivering a strong visual statement," said Rodgers.

The last time Liverpool ended the season in the top four was in the 2008/09 season when they finished the season second just behind Manchester United. The club have made some great signings during the 2012/13 season, 6 in total, these being Fabio Borini, Daniel Sturridge, Joe Allen, Philippe Coutinho, Oussama Assaidi and Samed Yesil.  Luis Suarez who signed for Liverpool in the 2010/11 season has made a great impact for the team in the past couple of seasons, he has had some bad luck as of late with all of the controversy during the match against Chelsea and the famous 'bite', but he will be hoping to pull on the new Liverpool home shirt once his 10 match ban has ended. The brand new Liverpool home kit is retailing at around £49.99 for the adults shirt and £39.99 for the kids then you have the shorts and socks to complete the kit.

Warrior has been Liverpool's kit manufacturer since the start of the 2012-13 seasons. Before football Warrior were an ice-hockey brand but have spread their interest to other sports. They shocked many Liverpool fans with their big change, most fans were used to the Liverpool crest that had been featured on the Liverpool home shirt for the past few seasons but Warrior brought back the famous Liverbird as the new crest. The American brand only manufactures Liverpool in the UK but also design a couple of other less-known teams from around the world. However after seeing Liverpool's new design in the 12-13 season Spanish side Sevilla and Danish team Randers FC have jumped on the bandwagon and are set to release their new Warrior kits soon.
