A Team in Need of Support

Now is the perfect time to visit the Soccer Box NUFC store and support the Newcastle team. In the first month of English Premier League competition, Newcastle has played like a club truly in need of fan support, and you can provide some of that simply by purchasing a team jersey from Soccer Box to wear while you cheer them on.

Newcastle's struggles began in the first weekend of the 2014 2015 season when the team picked up its first loss. The 2-0 loss, which came at the hands of Manchester City, wasn't terribly surprising on the surface. After all, Man City won the entire Premier League last year while Newcastle finished in 10th place.

Still, the fact that Newcastle lost its first football game of the season-and at its home stadium, no less-proved to be a major blow. The team has since struggled to formulate much momentum this year.

Last Place

Indeed, after five weeks of Premier League competition, Newcastle United is in 20th place in the current season standings. In other words, Newcastle United is currently situated at dead last in the 2014 2015 Premier League.

Is the team struggling because of a lack of proper fan support? Would seeing more young fans wearing the Newcastle United kids home kit 2014 2015 at football matches spur Newcastle to a stronger performance? It's hard to say.

One thing that is for certain is that Newcastle has performed better this year in front of home crowds than it has at away matches. So perhaps an uptick in fan support really could give the team the push it needs to be better.

Home Performances

Need any more evidence that you can help Newcastle United by simply visiting Soccer Box's NUFC store and giving the team the support it so heartily needs? Simply look at the home stats for this season compared to the away statistics.

So far in the 2014 2015 Premier League, Newcastle United has scored five goals. All five of those came in the space of two home games, the first against Crystal Palace and the second against Hull City.

Neither match ended in a win for Newcastle United. Unfortunately, the team hasn't won a single match yet this year. However, both matches did end in draws, and both showed traces of a much stronger Newcastle United football team than we've seen so far this year.

The first match, a 3-3 bout with Crystal Palace, saw three different Newcastle players finding the back of the net. The goals-provided by right-back Dylan Janmaat, midfielder Rolando Aarons, and center-back Mike Williamson-show that Newcastle could have greater depth than anyone is giving the club credit for. In addition, both Janmaat and Aarons are playing for Newcastle for the first time this season, begging the question of what other new talents are waiting to come out of the woodwork for the struggling team.

Meanwhile, the Hull City match was drawn simply on the strength of Newcastle striker Papiss Cisse, who scored a brace of goals to save his team from yet another loss. Despite the disappointing season, Cisse's performance in that match thrilled home crowds at St. James' Park, from the young fans in the Newcastle United kids home kit 2014 2015 to the veteran fans in the adult home jerseys.

The Current Season Record

A 0-0 away draw with Aston Villa, along with a crushing 4-0 loss to Southampton, round out Newcastle's season so far. Consequently, the team's record of 0 wins, 3 draws, and 2 losses could be considerably worse. Unfortunately for Newcastle fans, most of the teams in this year's Premier League have managed at least one victory so far, meaning that Newcastle will have to start winning matches-and soon-if the team is going to avoid relegation come May.

Help Newcastle United turn things around by showing some fan support and visiting Soccer Box's NUFC store for brand-new club merchandise!Â
