  7. PSG Win Their Fifth Ligue 1 Title Against Montpellier

    After a hard-fought away victory at Montpellier on Saturday 16th May, PSG win their fifth Ligue 1 title. The 2014 - 2015 Ligue 1 title also gives Paris Saint Germain their third consecutive league trophy in France's top division.  The defending French champions only needed a point to regain the title but pushed ahead into a 2-0 lead after just 25 minutes.  Montpellier pulled a goal back on 40 minutes but Laurent Blanc's men held on to win.  The 2-1 away win meant that PSG were crowned champions for the third time in a row.  So, as PSG win their fifth Ligue 1 title on the pitch at Montpellier their fans were celebrating off the pitch and across the capital city.
