Both leagues have plenty to offer for different needs when watching football, but there are a number of factors which lead one to think that Spain’s league is far ahead of their competitors.

Following an overwhelmingly impressive first season in La Liga with Sevilla, it was disappointing to see their fiery manager, Jorge Sampaoli, leave to take over as Argentina's head coach.

Having guided the Andalusian outfit to their second highest points total in La Liga history and an exemplary fourth placed league finish, he just couldn't resist the lure of managing Argentina - the country of his birth.

"There's a clear intention from my country to have me as coach and, since I was young, it's something that has appealed to me," he insisted.

He then went onto state that stepping into the position was "the fulfilling of a dream that I craved for a long time and that I've always admired this role."

In his post-match comments following Sevilla's much needed 4-2 win over Deportivo La Coruna, Los Nervionenses manager, Jorge Sampaoli, was absolutely delighted with his team's splendid attacking showing that propelled them to their first win in six league matches.

"We have had the feeling of being a team with vertigo as we attack all the time and this is a lot of fun for the future," he gleamed.

When Anthony Martial finished his hugely positive first season of English Premier League football roughly six months ago, most would've predicted there'd be no chance that he might be leaving Manchester United by January 2017.

But fast forward to now, however, and it would appear a very real possibility that the man who scored a eye catching 17 goals last campaign could be on his way out. Since Jose Mourinho took over in the summer, Martial, who joined the club in a whopping deal worth £58 million back in September 2015, just hasn't managed to gain the complete trust of the typically robust Mourinho.

The Portuguese boss has told the 21-year-old he wants him to work harder and earn his spot, urging the player to be patient with his methods. "Anthony is very, very young. People forget that and last season Manchester United played completely differently. He was basically playing up front," Mourinho explained.

It's remarkable to think that roughly two weeks ago Sevilla's president, Jose Castro, had almost given up hope of signing Luciano Vietto. Although Castro remained optimistic, he felt the lure of Barcelona would be too hard for the Atletico Madrid attacker to resist. "I wish we could sign [Vietto], he is a magnificent player, but I fear it will not be possible," Castro told COPE's "El Partido de las 12" radio show.

"He is one of the options our sporting director Monchi is working on. But things are as they are. If Vietto likes Barcelona more, he should go to Barcelona. It is important that players are where they want to be, so they perform well."

When Barcelona superstar, Luis Suarez, publicly praised the 22-year-old and said he believed Vietto would be a great addition to their squad, Sevilla's chances appeared even slimer. "Vietto is a great player. I really liked him when he played at Villarreal," insisted the Uruguayan.
