The history of Barcelona Boys football shirts goes way back, there have been a large variety of whacky designs manufactured over the years but each time it seems the club's shirt designers always go back to the bold red and blue colour scheme. One of the first ever shirts made was in the 1900's. The decision on the design of the first ever shirt was made by the team founder Joan Gamper, it is said that he was borrowing the colours from Swiss side FC Basel when he first used the red and blue colour scheme.

From then on nearly every one of the home shirts made for each season came in this red and blue design, Barcelona often had a striped design on their shirts which made them a real head-turner. The Barcelona crest that sits on the left side of the shirts has also always stayed the same, even on the range of retro shirts and the Barcelona Boys football shirts.

The Barcelona away shirt range in adult and kids has often been bright and eye-catching. In 1997 the first orange way shirt came out, these carried on until 2000 when Nike designed the famous silver away shirt with red and blue details. In the 2006-07 seasons the orange was brought back once again and then was dismissed for the blue stripy design until the 09-10 seasons when it was used once again. The 2012-13 shirts which are due to expire are also designed using bright colours including orange and yellow.

It has been a very popular shirt with young children and is one of the most surprisingly popular Barcelona boy's football shirts to date. Numerous young children have often grown up supporting Barcelona either as their first or second team, this could be down to their parents or own choice.

Many young children in the UK support Barcelona as well as their first team such as Manchester United. Barcelona have become such a fantastic team and with the likes of Lionel Messi it is no wonder children look up to him and the team so much. Throughout sports stores and independent retailers Barcelona Boys football shirts have become one of the most popular international shirts to buy to date, with Real Madrid coming very close. In 1999 Nike started manufacturing Barcelona's home and away shirts, they started to design the shirts in a more modern way, which looked far better than the previous shirt made by Kappa.

Over the years football has become more and more popular, especially with young children. Many boys play for their local team and work their way up, sometimes getting spotted by scouts and getting moved to a higher team or league. As well as them playing the game, the amount of children who watch football live on the television has risen too, with most of the population tuning in for their favourite Premier League matches, however international football games such as the El Clasico fixtures between Barcelona and Real Madrid have become popular over the years with the majority of supporters in their Barcelona boys football shirts. Boy's football shirts range in size; since Nike started manufacturing Barcelona's shirts the sizes available in the football shirts are very good with a wide variety.

The kids sizes for the Barcelona boys football shirts start from X-Small which is a size 6-8 years and go up to X-Large which is 13-15. Also available are the Barcelona boys football kits, these also range from X-Small boys to X-Large but are completely different sizes in age. Shorts and socks are available to buy separately if the child is too big for the complete kit. This size range is excellent from Nike, one of the many reasons they have been so successful. The brand new 13-14 Barcelona shirt is due to be released in the next few months and fans can pre-order the shirt soon.

It is expected to be designed in the famous red and blue scheme and is going to be the first time Barcelona's shirt have not had a charity as their shirt sponsor. Quatar airways are expected to feature in the centre of the new shirt. With Barcelona being announced as the 2013 La Liga title winners the other day 10 points in front of Real Madrid we expect the Barcelona Boys football shirts to be in high demand when they are released in upcoming months.
