The Premier League is the primary soccer league in England and is known as one of the most challenging in the world. It is made up from 20 football clubs who compete in 38 matches each.

Over the past few years we have witnessed the same few teams dominating the Premier League; these being Manchester United, neighbours Manchester City, Arsenal and rival London club Chelsea.

These teams more often than not end up with a top four spot which gives them the popularity they have today.

Many young children support these teams and want to show this by wearing their kids football kits featuring their team's badge.

In the league when two clubs meet we call this a rivalry; a typical rivalry would be a match between Arsenal against Manchester United.

It is usually two teams who are similarly matched when it comes to skill and maybe they are fighting for the Premier League title.

Some teams are rivals due to their history against another club. Supporters can intensify this also in the crowd; this can sometimes lead to fighting.

For the first time in several years the Premier League seems to have opened up this year, we have seen teams that are usually nowhere near the top of the league like Southampton for example.

We also have Arsenal currently top of the league, Liverpool second who have not finished in the top four for many years and Tottenham Hotspur who have also be named 'title contenders' this year.

The Tottenham soccer jerseys just like many others, particularly the Arsenal away shirt have been very popular this season and sales have soared. The Tottenham Hotspur kids football kits have also gone down a treat too with many orders for the home, away and even the goalkeepers shirt.

As we all know, Spur's top player for the past couple of seasons was of course Welsh striker Gareth Bale.

After establishing himself as one of the best strikers in the EPL, it was no surprise that big clubs would come calling as Bale put it himself, how could he turn it down.

Even though he helped the club reach 5th place in the 2012 - 2013 season it was time for him to follow his dream. Bale left for Real Madrid in the summer transfer window this year after a huge deal with the Spanish giants which saw them pay £86 million pounds for him.

Spurs manager Andre Villas-boas had plenty of money to splash on new talent and brought in a few new faces.

First to join the Tottenham soccer jerseys was Paulinho, shortly afterwards Nacer Chadli joined, then it was the turn of Roberto Soldado, then Etienne Capoue and then on the same day, Erik Lamela, Christian Eriksen and Vlad Chiriches.

AVB's team started off ok; they won their first two games, lost their third, won two more and then drew again.

They came back international duty and only managed a draw, and then they picked themselves up with two wins in a row, then a draw and finally back to no points with their last two games.

They currently sit in 9th place with 20 points.

Tottenham's last match on Sunday saw them play Manchester City at the Etihad stadium with a shocking performance which saw City smash 6 goals against them.

It appears the fans and media seem to think sole striker Roberto Soldado is not worth the millions ABV paid for him, could they be right?

The team seem to be going through a slight goal drought at the moment and Soldado has only scored 4 goals in 12 appearances. AVB seems to want to give him more of a chance, with many fans calling for Defoe to get a shot in the starting line-up.

A surprise for us all on Sunday was seeing Adebayor make an appearance after half time, the striker became out of favour with the manager who has since said that he believed the player has what it takes to get back into the starting line up if he carries on working hard in his Tottenham soccer jerseys.

With all the new million pounds worth of players on the pitch Spurs could still not score and City managed 6 past the team and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

To make things worse for Spurs, Sandro scored an own goal in the 34th minute after Navas's goal in the first minute of the game, Sergio Aguero then scored in the 41st minute and again in the 50th.

Negredo got City's 5th before Navas topped up his tally with a late goal in the 90th minute. Andre Villas-Boas said that his team should be ashamed, but nobody should blame goalkeeper Hugo Lloris in his Tottenham soccer jerseys after a couple of mistakes over the past few weeks.

To make serious title contenders Tottenham Hotspur need to do better against top quality football teams.

After spending all of that money in the transfer window the fans and club will be disappointed if the team do not at least reach 5th place and it may show that Gareth Bale really did make all of the difference.
