VFB Stuttgart had a terrific opportunity to win a match and escape the Bundesliga relegation zone on Sunday, thanks to an early lead in a home fixture against SC Freiburg. Unfortunately for fans of Stuttgart's Reds, the squad squandered their lead in the second half, and ultimately settled for a 2-2 draw in the game. Time is running out for the German football club to move up the Bundesliga table and get out of the red zone. Help them toward a successful run in their final four fixtures, with a new VFB

The Reds need all the help they can get if they are going to reach 15th place (or higher) and earn themselves a slot in next year's Bundesliga. The football club has struggled to win games this season-their record only includes six victories-but still isn't too far behind the rest of the field. SC Freiburg

On April 12th, the Reds managed a surprise win against Werder Bremen, with Daniel Ginczek scoring a goal in the final minutes of play to break a 2-2 tie and give his team a 3-2 victory. Stuttgart haven't won two games in a single calendar month for the entire 2014 2015 Bundesliga season.
Unfortunately for fans in the VFB Stuttgart soccer jersey, it wasn't in the cards for the Reds to break that unflattering trend at Saturday's fixture. With a 58-minute penalty goal from Freiburg's Nils Petersen, the momentum shifted against the home squad. Petersen netted a second point less than 20 minutes later, and just like that, what had started out as such a promising match for VFB ended in another disappointing stalemate.
League Standings
A win would have elevated VFB Stuttgart to 29 points-tying them on the 2014 2015 Bundesliga table with both Freiburg and Hannover. The Reds still would have been trailing behind those two teams in terms of goal difference, and still would have been in the relegation zone. However, they would have been in a much better position going into the final four games of the season than they are now.
Instead, the Reds are in last place on the table heading into what will likely be a challenging weekend match. On May 2nd, VFB will play Schalke 04-one of the top five teams in the 2014 2015 Bundesliga-in an away fixture. Even in December, when the Reds wore the VFB Stuttgart home shirt 2014 2015 and played Schalke at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, they lost 0-4. They will need either a lot of luck, a lot of fan support, or both to avoid a similar outcome this weekend.
