Liverpool's kit manufacturer Warrior has now revealed the brand new Liverpool away kit. The American brand has designed all of Liverpool's kits including the home, away, third and goalkeeper. We have all already seen the Liverpool home kit which was officially released on the 30th May 2013. The home kit certainly shocked a few football fans, Warrior really went back in time as they designed this kit, as normal the kit is red but features some bold features such as the bold white stripes on the collar and sleeve areas. There are also faint dark red vertical stripes on the shirt with images of the Liverbird

Warrior officially took over as Liverpool kit maker in 2012; they stepped in the shoes of Adidas who had been Liverpool's manufacturer for many years. Adidas always kept the shirt quite simple but classy, sometimes featuring minor pattern. However new designers Warrior have different ideas, last year's kit 2013-13 was quite a change, they took away the usual Liverpool badge which has been present for numerous seasons. The old 'Liverbird' crest replaced this which was last seen in 1986. Many people compare the new Liverpool home shirt 2013-14 to the one worn in 1984.

The new Liverpool Away Shirt also brings in a touch of the past; the main colour of the shirt is white, with bold red detail in some areas. At the bottom of the shirt there are bold red and black diamond-like patterns, a similar pattern can be seen on the Liverpool shirts from 1989 to around 1991. The start of the 1981 season saw Liverpool with an all-new style collar, this style has been borrowed once again by Warrior who have used the unusual collar on the new away kit. The shorts are black with further red detail and diamond-shaped patterns along each thigh. The socks are white with black and red details. Warrior's great War-tech technology is used throughout the kit which is designed to keep players cool and dry.

The new kit was seen modelled by some of the squad including Steven Gerrard, Daniel Sturridge and Glen Johnson. Luis Saurez featured in the first picture modelling the home kit alongside Gerrard and Reina, this could hint as his stay at Anfield this season. There are many split opinions over the kits, with the majority of people giving the thumbs down and a minor few complimenting the new kits. The squad will need to pull their socks up this season and try and reach that fourth spot, whatever their kit-style.

What do you think of the new Away kit? Did you prefer Adidas or Warrior as manufacturer?
