Werder Bremen fans have gone through quite the roller coaster of emotions this year. Following last season's 12th place finish, most supporters of the soccer squad were expecting something similar in 2014 2015. Those fans were in for a rude awakening during the first half of the campaign, as Werder Bremen lost match after match and fell to last place on the Bundesliga standings table. Luckily, things have since turned around for the wearers of the Werder Bremen jersey, to the point where the River Islanders might actually have a better finish in the 2014 2015 Bundesliga than they did a year ago.

The 2014 2015 Bundesliga
After Werder Bremen fell to last place in the Bundesliga, it looked like the football squad's 2014 2015 campaign was all but over. The soccer club has made quite the comeback in the New Year, though. They won five matches in a row, from December through February, and have only lost three league games in 2015.
Unfortunately, two of those three losses have come in the past month-meaning that the River Islanders are at risk for dipping back down the league standings table. On March 14th, they donned the Werder Bremen home shirt 2014 2015 for a fixture against Bayern Munich. But even with the home field advantage, Bremen couldn't stand up to Germany's top football club; they lost the fixture 0-4.
Stuttgart
The home loss against Bayern Munich was a disappointment for the wearers of the Werder Bremen jersey, but it wasn't a surprise. Bayern has only lost two matches this season, drawing four others, and winning the remaining 22. So while fans were hoping for a surprise victory at the March 14th home game with Munich, they weren't expecting one.
However, fans were expecting a win this past weekend, when Werder Bremen headed off to Stuttgart for a game against the Reds. Heading into the April 12th fixture, Stuttgart was the bottom-ranked football club in the division, with only five wins on record for the 2014 2015 season.
Somehow, though, the Reds were able to get the better of the River Islanders. Perhaps it was the home field advantage, but Stuttgart's Daniel Ginczek had a star-making turn in the game, scoring two goals in the space of 21 minutes to give his team a 3-2 victory. Ginczek has only made 12 appearances in Bundesliga fixtures this year, but suffice to say that he will be Stuttgart's new secret weapon after almost single-handedly defeating Werder Bremen.
Bundesliga Standings
Obviously, the loss against the Reds was a huge blow for the River Islanders. Luckily for fans in the Werder Bremen home shirt 2014 2015, the loss didn't cost the club any ground in the league standings.
On the contrary, Werder Bremen is still ranking at ninth place on the league standings table, with 35 points and a goal difference rating of -14. The fifth place squad, Schalke 04, is only six points ahead, which means that there is still plenty of potential for Werder to move up. To do that, they will have to start winning games again.
The River Islanders have golden opportunities for victory in the coming weeks, such as a home match against Hamburger SV and an away game at Paderborn. Pick up a new Werder Bremen jersey to root for the squad in both of these games! At Soccer Box, we have both the home shirt and the away shirt in stock!
