With the start of the New Year, it looked as if Werder Bremen was beginning a steady march toward the top 2014 2015 Bundesliga standings table. After ending 2014 with a triumphant home win against Borussia Dortmund, the River Islanders returned in 2015 with four straight victories. But a draw at Schalke 04 and a big loss against Wolfsburg have brought the football squad's momentum to a grinding halt. Help the team restore that momentum today, with a new jersey from Soccer Box's Werder Bremen shop.

2014 2015 Bundesliga
Regardless of which jersey you are looking for at the Werder Bremen shop on Soccer Box, now is the right time to make a purchase. Based on recent fixtures, the River Islanders are going to need a little extra fan support if they are going to rebuild their momentum.
Coming into the 2014 2015 Bundesliga, most football fans didn't expect Bremen to be much of a contender. The football club had finished in 12th place for the 2013 2014 season, and was more or less predicted to end up in a similar position this year.
The current Bundesliga season has been anything but predictable. Sure, Bayern Munich is still at the top of the standings table, but Borussia Dortmund-last year's runner-up-has struggled consistently this season, and other teams have been trying to use that fact to their advantage. One of the teams that has been pushing harder than usual this year is Werder Bremen.
Of course, things started off horribly for the River Islanders. During the early weeks and months of competition, fans in the Werder Bremen home jersey 2014 2015 had to deal with one bad result after another. From a home loss dealt by Koln (a club recently promoted to Germany's top football division), to a 0-6 blowout against Bayern Munich, Werder couldn't seem to catch a break.
Rise from the Ashes
Nine weeks into the season, the club still hadn't managed a win, and was in dead last place on the division standings chart. Indeed, after such a demoralizing start, Werder Bremen supporters wondered if their team could possibly recover.
But then, the River Islanders surprised everyone and started giving fans a reason to visit Soccer Box's Werder Bremen shop again. A trio of wins in November (including a rousing 4-0 home win over SC Paderborn) got the club out of relegation range and gave them some much-needed confidence.
Unfortunately, December made it look like those wins were just flukes. Two big away losses (at Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Monchengladbach, respectively) put the River Islanders right back in last place. And as players donned the Werder Bremen home jersey 2014 2015 and prepared for the last Bundesliga match of the year-a home fixture versus Borussia Dortmund-spirits could hardly have been lower.
Surprisingly, that lowest moment was precisely where things began to look up for Bremen. The home team beat Dortmund 2-1 to end 2014 on a high note, and then parlayed that momentum into a strong start in 2015. In quick succession, the club beat Hertha BSC, Hoffenheim, Bayer Leverkusen, and Augsburg, and soared all the way into eighth place in the league.
Wolfsburg
But even the best winning streaks have to end somewhere, and Werder's did indeed come to an end. First, on February 21st, the club drew with Schalke 04 in a lukewarm 1-1 away match. Then, on March 3rd, they were trounced on their own home pitch by Wolfsburg, losing 3-5.
Based on the first half, it looked as if the River Islanders were actually going to beat Wolfsburg. That would have been a feat, since the Wolves are currently trailing only Bayern Munich on the league standings table. Still, two goals in the first 16 minutes and an own goal from the opposing side put Bremen up 3-2 at halftime.
Ultimately, a world-class second half for Wolfsburg's Bas Dost gave the away side a 5-3 win. It was disappointing, but not demoralizing for the home team, and will hopefully not tarnish the River Islander momentum. Help the club bounce back quickly, with a visit to the Soccer Box Werder Bremen shop!
