Another Good Start To The Season For West Bromwich Albion

The Midlands team are becoming a much improved team this year, they did not start off so well this time last year. The club already have 9 points from 7 games and I'm sure there will be many more to come. The arrival of new boy Stephane Sessegnon has certainly improved the team. They may be doing well now but it did not start off this way. The Baggies first match against Southampton didn't go so well with them losing 0-1 at the Hawthorns. The week after on the 24th August they drew 0-0 with Everton at Goodison Park before losing 0-2 to Swansea City.

On Saturday 14th September they grabbed another point with a draw at Craven Cottage with Gareth McAuley scoring the teams first goal of the season.

On the 21st September 2013 West Bromwich Albion claimed their first league win over Sunderland. They played at home in the home shirt and really made the fans proud.

This was the same day that Stephane Sessegnon made his debut and the man himself scored in the 20th minute in the West Bromwich home soccer jersey. Liam Ridgewell made it 2-0 before Amalfitano finished the job off with a 90 minute goal.

With confidence high in the dressing room it was no wonder they went and grabbed a point from a match against Arsenal just four days later. However as it was a league cup match it went to penalties in which they lost 3-4.

In their next Premier League fixture against Manchester United West Bromwich Albion won 2-1 and took all three points, this was a great result for the Baggies. It was Berahino and Amalfitano to hit the back of the net this time.

Manchester United's form has been surprisingly poor this season under new manager David Moyes, his team have only won 10 points from their last 7 games and West Brom played hard for the win.

The Baggies last result was a 1-1 draw with Arsenal, which is very impressive considering how good they actually play now they have signed Mesut Ozil. It was Claudio Yacob to grab the first goal of the match before Arsenal's Jack Wilshere equalised for the Gunners.

Even though West Bromwich Albion did not start off so good they have certainly made up for it and their new signings who have made a great difference since playing in the West Brom home shirts.

Troubled former West Brom striker Peter Odemwingie finally got his move and transferred to Cardiff City in the summer, he has done well for his new club so far in the Cardiff City replica jersey.

Steve Clarke has made a few new signings during the 2013-2014 including Nicolas Anelka from Juventus, Stephane Sessegnon from Sunderland, Victor Anichebe from Everton, Morgan Amalfitano from Olympique Marseille and Scott Sinclair from Manchester City.

West Bromwich Albion face Stoke City tomorrow at the Britannia Stadium and will be hoping to capitalise on their good form and bring home the 3 points. They will play in the West Bromwich away soccer jerseys.

There are no fresh injury worries for the Baggies and the team will welcome back Victor Anichebe, Shane Long, Zolten Gera and Matej Vydra who are now available after recent injuries. Kick off is at 3.ooPm.
