Manchester City and Arsenal-the football clubs that were sitting at the top of the Premier League table headed into this weekend-week 13 of 201516 EPL season proved to be thoroughly unlucky. Both teams lost, with Manchester City falling 1-4 against Liverpool and Arsenal stumbling to a 0-1 loss in an away game at West Bromwich Albion. The Sky Blues and the Gunners now occupy the third and fourth place spots on the table, respectively. It's the lowest Manchester City have dipped all season.
Lucky Leicester
For many of the other most notable soccer clubs in the Premier League, though, week 13 proved to be surprisingly full of luck. Topping the list of fortunate teams are Leicester City, who beat Newcastle United 3-0 to scoot into first - October 26, 2015
Are West Ham United the best football club in London? In past years, the Irons have run a distant third, behind Chelsea FC and Arsenal. This fall, though, West Ham are hovering near the top of the 2015 2016 Premier League and have enjoyed victories against both of their London-based league rivals, meaning West Ham United take London bragging rights. Could we feasibly see the Irons contending for their first-ever top-flight soccer title come spring 2016?
The London Wins
West Ham's strong 2015 2016 season got started off on the perfect foot, with a 2-0 away win at Arsenal on August 8th. The Gunners had been strongly favored to win the match, given their recent successes. Indeed, in the 2014 2015 Premier League, Arsenal ran a slow and steady race to finish third-ahead of a - September 05, 2015
Manchester United might have been the most buzz-worthy of all of England's football clubs on transfer deadline day, setting a record for the biggest transfer fee ever paid for a teenager (19-year-old forward Anthony Martial, on his way from Monaco £36 million) and trying to execute a goalkeeper swap with Real Madrid that fell apart in the late hours of the day. However, the West Ham United deadline day transfers 2015 definitely made them the most fruitful of any Premier League teams, completing four signings on September 1st to further flesh out their 2015 2016 soccer squad.
West Ham United followed an interesting arc during the first month of the 2015 2016 Premier League, managing decisive victories in their two toughest matches (away games against Arsenal and Liverpool) but losing their "easier" fixtures (home matches with Leicester City and Bournemouth). Despite the confusing nature of those four football games, though, the 2-0 win at Arsenal and the 3-0 triumph - July 18, 2015
For over a century now-since 1904, to be exact-the West Ham United Boleyn Ground is where the club has played their home football games in Upton Park, East London. At the end of the 2015 2016 season, the soccer team will bid farewell to the stadium for good. In 2011, West Ham were selected to move into London's Olympic Stadium following the 2012 Summer Games, and with the 2016 2017 soccer season, that move will finally come to fruition.
In many ways, the move will be a hugely positive thing for the Hammers. For one thing, Olympic Stadium is markedly larger than the Boleyn Ground, capable of accommodating a soccer audience of 54,000 (compared to Boleyn's 35,016). For another, the Olympic Stadium is expected to be the new standard for luxury, comfort, and spectator satisfaction in league football. Specifically, every seat in the venue is expected to offer a brilliant view of the pitch.

West Ham has had many highs and lows over the years, after being relegated to the Championship in 2011, the team secured promotion back to the Premier League in 2012. It seems that the team's fortunes are on the rise having secured a new home stadium. The current home of the West Ham soccer jersey is the Boleyn Ground, commonly referred to as Upton Park.
History of Upton Park
Upton Park is one of the oldest football stadiums in the country, it opened in 1904, and has been the home ground of West Ham United ever since. Throughout the 1990s Upton Park has been extensively redeveloped, the stadium is now all seated with a capacity of 35,016. There has been an increased demand for capacity over recent seasons despite their brief dip into the Championship.
West Ham's history is steeped within the terraces at Upton Park. On match day the stands are filled with fans adorned in the West Ham United football shirt, accessories - June 19, 2013
The shock £35 million pound paid in 2011 by Liverpool for former Newcastle striker Andy Carroll never really paid off from the start. Many fans were shocked when ex Anfield boss Kenny Dalglish bid £30 million for the striker, however this was turned down by Newcastle so he improved his offer an upped it to £35 million pound. This was accepted by Newcastle but with Carroll claiming he had been pushed to leave the club and did not really want to go the Liverpool fans doubted what they would be getting. NUFC staff denied this and stated that Carroll had said he had wanted to leave.
It was a done deal and the 24 year old moved in to Anfield and took over from now Chelsea striker Fernando Torres taking on his old number nine shirt. Andy certainly looked the part in his new Liverpool football kit but there were no goals to prove that his £35 million pound was worthy. Even though Carroll was
